Sim Earth: The Living Planet

The ending to Sim Earth is the same on all platforms wherein it exists. 
If you cultivate your chosen species to the highest level of civilization 
and keep them alive, they'll begin an Exodus from the planet, doming all 
cities and lifting them into space. The game does not end here, however, 
it continues with a sentient-less planet, and you can try to bring 
another species up to civilization.
