To beat the boss of the game, first jump off your platform on to his neck
quickly and keep jumping up to his nose and pecking at it then jumping
back down to avoid being electrocuted and shot at. Soon his nose will fall
off. Next, go up to his cheeks and avoid being shot at again and peck at the
satellite things until they both blow up. Then go on to the right or left cheek
and catch a ride on one of those green aliens things (it won't hurt you) and
ride up to his ears and peck on a satellite thing on each ear to finish him off.
From the title screen, press Select, access the options and then
press A, Y, A, Y, X, Y, B, A, R, L for 99 lives.
77 extra lives
On the Title Screen, hold Left, R, Y, and Select. While holding these
buttons, press and hold Start until the game start's. When you release
the buttons, you should have 77 extra lives.
Level 1- Wait on the closer platform and a boulder will pass just
beneath your feet. Jump and get right in front of the platform and
start pecking the base. If you jumped at the right boulder, the
catapult will not come all the way down and hit you *once*, the next
time around it will. Wait until it is about to hit and use your
turbo to escape. The thing will fall apart after doing this about 4
Topple Crane at end of Level 2 - If you take a look at his blueprints,
you'll see that the six squares under the crane are vulnerable to
pecking, but standing next to them is dangerous. You have to keep
moving so the Coyote won't drop the wrecking ball on you or
run you down with the crane. Jump up and get a few hits in while
the crane moves away from you, then quickly drop down and run
to the opposite side to peck there. It takes four pecks per square to
get rid of them.
Derail the Coyote in Level 3 - The Coyote is at the controls at the
end of Level 3, and he's tossing out bombs every time he drives
by in the Steam Engine. The first series of bombs explodes quickly,
but the second set bounces to a stop without exploding. Don't let the
falling bombs hit you. Wait until the Coyote comes back and peck
the bombs into the engine's smokestack, then run for the other end
of the train to avoid the next barrage of exploding bombs. It takes
eight bombs to make the engine blow its stack.
Level 4- This is just a simple test of reflexes. Jump to the top of
the contraption he's riding around in (use the drills to get up
there). Now you have to peck away the 'tiles' that make up the top of
this thing (not that it makes much sense why this is bad). You can
only peck a 'tile' when the corresponding platform raises up to try
to smash you into the roof.
Getting through 5-B - The transporters in 5-B make the traveling fast,
but they also make it difficult for you to find your way around. Use
them in the following order to reach the goal. Go from 1 to 1, 2 to 2,
3 to 3, 4 to 4, 7 to 7, 8 to 8, 9 to 9, 11 to 11, 14 to 14, 15 to 15, 16
to 16, 17 to 17, 18 to 18, and from there up to the exit on the
ledge above. Most of the connections are easy to make because the
pairs of transporters are pretty close together, but you'll have to go
a few screens to the right from 11 to find 14.
