Fairies:
For the first fairy, you don't have to fight the wasps, just press up
against the bottom of one of the trees toward the center of the
screen as if to release a bunch of wasps. For the second one, don't
try to fight the trees. Just keep your fingers off of the A button
and press up against the bottoms of all the trees until you find the
one that doesn't drain your strength. Then push up into it and press
A to save the 2nd fairy. For the third one, it is possible to beat the
wizards with the wave spell, if you can get them to line up single file.
(I had a little trouble getting the spell off, but if you stand in the brown
ground in the upper right corner and face left, I think you should be
able to do it.)
Dragon:
Before you try to kill the dragon, cast a fire spell at the tree right in
front of the castle to open a passage (I found this out accidentally). Go
inside and follow it until you come to a grave. Press up against the
bottom of it & press A to "break the grave" (great translating).
Now you can beat the dragon.
Last guy:
Make sure to keep the medicine for him. What I did was kept it in
defend mode and nickeled & dimed him to death. If you save & load,
he'll get his strength back, but if you go down to the bottom screen
and come back up, he'll still have his injuries. I had trouble with the
skeleton guys down there, but I messed with the "speed" setting of
the game and it seemed to glitch it so that all four skeletons were
walking around in circles, paying no mind to me while I sat and got
all my life back.
Caves: Make sure to kill all the enemies in the caves. Some chests
appear only after all the enemies are dead. This is probably obvious,
but I spent a loooong time looking for stuff that was in caves I'd
already been in.
The first jewel is inside the chest in the graveyard.
The second jewel is in a chest in the dungeon.
The third jewel is your reward for defeating the dragon.
You will find the first fairy after you defeat the wasps that attack you.
The second fairy is given after you defeat the trees that attack you.
The third fairy is given you after destroying the two wizards.
