Pink Goes to Hollywood

I can't believe this is the first review of Pink Goes to
Hollywood being posted at GameFAQs. I think this is a fun
game, and deserves a little praise.
Graphics: 7 out of 10. Nothing really impressive, they look
appropriately cartoonish (is that a word?), after all it is
a Pink Panther game. As I said, nothing special, but they're
not bad.
Sound: 8 out of 10. Catchy variations on the old Pink
Panther theme for each of the different levels, such as the
pirate ship, the jungle, etc. The sound effects are like the
graphics: good, but nothing special.
Story: 2 out of 10. If you were to pick up the game and
play, you'd see NO story at all. The only thing I can
remember the manual saying is something about Pink wanting
to go to Hollywood and become a star.
Control/Gameplay: 10 out of 10. This is, in my opinion, the
main reason to play the game. It's just tons of fun. The
control is easy to master, and is pretty basic. You move,
jump, attack (with a little boxing glove gun) and use the
specials items. Using the items can be a tad tricky at
first, but you get the hang of it. As for gameplay, you go
through the different stages, Robin Hood, Jungle, Haunted
Castle, etc. You manuever Pink around the main area, and
pick what level you get to go to. The bosses aren't too
tough to defeat, the only real hard part would be the Jungle
level, and some of the Fridge/Pink Lemondade area. But
overall it's just a fun game.
Replay Value: 6 out of 10. CONGRATULATIONS! is the ending I
got on the easy and medium levels. Not much, considering how
I wanted to chuck my Genesis out the window after missing a
jump on the Jungle level and falling to my death for about
the 20th time. I've never beaten the game on Hard, but I
still plug it in and goof around on the easier levels once
in awhile. But once you've beaten it, the game's not that
tough.
Overall Score: 7 out of 10. A decent game that's pretty
fun. If you can get your hands on a copy, I recommend you
give it a try.
