Beavis and Butthead
Reviewed by Dyson Turner
Beavis and Butthead was an interesting fun and challenging
game. The graphics were nice at the time, there was some
heavy metal music, easy control overall great game.
Story 7/10
The two morons Beavis and Butthead managed to land tickets
for The Gwar concert. The tickets got destroyed, they go on
a mad hunt to find the ticket fragments. Very unique story,
never seen anything like it.
Graphics 8/10
They looked just like their TV counterparts! They were also
huge and highly detailed so was everything else in this
game. For the time when this was created everything was
beautifully done. The landmarks from the TV show are here
like Highland High, and Beavis and Butthead's room. The
Living Room looks just like the one from TV. Even the
enemies look great, like the cop and dogs and cats.
Sound 7/10
There was heavy metal music, which I know nothing about so I
really can't tell you if it was good or bad. It did seem to
fit with the atmosphere. The sound FX was you're usual B&B
fare farts, burps and other zany sounds. The music was clear
and really didn't disrupt the game play, so I guess was
acceptable.
Game Play 9/10
This was for 1 or 2 players simultaneously. You could choose
either moron, Beavis or Butthead, one usually followed, the
other did everything else. They had their weaponry, Farts
and Burps. There was also some generic other weaponry, you
also had a chainsaw which you really couldn't use. Because
the rating of the game was PG: 13. There were 7 levels that
you had to find pieces of concert tickets. Some were easier
to find than others, you always had to do some small task to
get them. There was some cartoon to game things here, like
Couch fishing. Some things you might wasn't to catch others
were best to be left alone. You had an inventory of items
that you picked up along the way, some were useless, others
were seemingly useless, but try everything who knows you
might get a piece of the ticket. The difficulty was semi
hard. There was a password feature, which was good because
you couldn't get every piece of the ticket in one sitting.
Overall 8/10
This was a very fun game. Everything just seemed to work in
some weird way. I think if they would have given this game a
higher rating like mature, it might have been even better.
It was too water downed for B&B standards. The challenge was
good, and the replay value was high because this game is
loads of fun. It is fun to play with the password system you
might come up with something interesting. This is a must
have for any Beavis and Butthead fan. If you found the show
repulsive then maybe this isn't for you. Others might like
it as well.
