NFL Blitz 2000
Reviewed by Shinnokxz
NFL Blitz was released in 1997 by Midway, first it hit the
arcade, then it hit Home consoles, and then, it spawned a
sequel, hitting the arcade and Home Consoles....
Graphics 7/10
To tell the truth, the graphics looks exactly the same in
the N64 as the DC version, just in the N64, there aren't any
theatrical movies... same bulky old muscles on players, same
fields (except for a few Backround changes) so I'm not going
to score this section high because it looks not very much better..
Sound/Music 9/10
Same thing as the previous blitz, same groans and pretty
much same music, nothin' much to say here....
Control 6/10
Akkkk, not what you would expect from Midway, and for the
fact it screws you up when you trying to find the turbo
button on the back of the DC controller, and you can't find
it, and you usaully get intercepted, and so on...
Gameplay 6/10
You choose from Exhibition, Playoffs, or Season, I went with
Exhibition the whole time because I didn't have enough pages
to save on my memory card... you choose your teams, and you
get started, first, I was sorta dissapointed in the Gameplay
because it seemed like I got intercepted and fumbled more
and more, and more, making it feel like real football, and I
didn't rent blitz to play REAL football, I rented it to hear
all the crude remarks, and well have fun tackling the
opponent to sunday, well, unfortunatly, they did about 2
winning dances, and the same kind of tackle over, and over
again, it gets boring, then when you get farther and farther
into the game, the plays start getting cheaper, and the
replayibility gets less.... I was soarly dissapointed...
Rent-Or-Buy?
If you loved the first one like me, then stick to the N64
version, you will be dissapointed, but if you like Football,
then go ahead and rent it...
Overall: 7 out of 10
