Dynamite Cop
Reviewed by Shinnokxz
Dynamite Cop was released a few months after the Dreamcast
was. It's Sega Dreamcast's first beat'em up, and it's also a
sequel to Die Hard rilogy for the Arcade and playstation, it
is very difficult, and worthy of a rent, read on..........
Graphics 8/10
Lets start off with the animations, they are extremely well
done, the moves look pretty nice when all of your powers
going, the FMV's arent as good though, I mean, heck, the
presidents daughter looks pretty bad. That captain pirate
dude looks pretty bad himself, with his bad textured
muscles, the backgrounds are very well done, you can
interact with them, throw pop machines, arcades, etc. The
character designs aren't all that great, but you really
don't notice there faces becasue half of the time they're
running. The enemies are various from location to location,
exg. When you run into that big old Chinese restuarant
kitchen, and that huge old chinese guy is there to fight
you, and other places where there are top of the decks on
ships where you find the pirates and the captian...
Sound/Music 7/10
Lets start with the Sound, not that good. The FMV voices are
pretty bad, especially the presidents daughter, and the
captain voice is OK, but the ound has some flaws, all the
right gun noises are there, making it dsound a little
realistic, and the sound of crushed machines and chairs are
here also. The music has it's good points, though it's
hardly audible and you barely notice is throughout
fighting..
Control 8/10
It takes some getting use to at first, what button it takes
to pick up items, what button it is to kick, punch, and
jump, but when you get into the game, it is much easier, and
there are no moves to pull off dissapointingly, theres just
long, long button mashing combos you can do.....
Gameplay 8/10
One of your first missions will be to highjack a plane, and
get all these trash talkin' pirates off it, and most
importantly, save the presidents daughter. Then it gets
harder and harder once yu beat every mission so the
challenge is up high, the story is somewhat missing a few
things here and there, but allright anyhow. What adds a
plick a suspense into the game is when you clear the area of
enemies, then the computer takes control and you now need to
press a certain button to be a success, or if you don't hit
the right button, or if you don't doing it quick enough,
then you will fail, and end up getting gallons of life
tooken away from you or just throws you into a whole new
situation. All in all this game is atleast worthy of a rent!
Rent-or-Buy?
Well I did say it WAS worthy of a rent so go check it out,
you might notice yourself havung fun with this game!
Overall: 8 out of 10
