Chu Chu Rocket!

OK, OK. I'll admit it. The only reason why I bought this
game is because it was the first Sega Dreamcast game with
the option of letting you play with people over the internet
on your Sega Dreamcast. But once I started to play the One
Player mode, it was so simple, I just plainly loved this
game from the inside out. Once you start a One Player game,
you will be sorta confused about what to do and how to do
it. Well your main goal id to get all the Mice on the screen
into a Rocket. Sometimes you'll have to go through obstacles
containing Cats, and Black Holes. Sonic Team has put
together a puzzler that will probably not ever die.
Good Points About The Game...
This game is packed with awesome modes for either
Multi-player fun, or just One player fun. The One player
game is pretty simple you complete. But you can easily get
more puzzles from other people straight from the Chu Chu
Rocket! Website. The Multi-Player is very fun and simple
also. You either have a team (2 on 2) or all of you are
against each other. You try to get as much mice (Chu Chu's)
inside your rockets as you can. Doing this, you put little
arrows to where the ice can go. The sound in this is also
pretty good. But sometimes when your doing online gaming, is
muffles out and sounds like a Robot. The graphics are
something you would find on a N64, but they are in a very
high resolution, and the N64 don't handle that (without the
expansion pak).
Bad Points About The Game...
In this game, when you have Multi-player going, or Online
gaming going, it has some slow-down. Or when you place an
arrow on a board, when your online, it will take a couple of
seconds to actauly get the arrow on there. But these are
minor and don't last for long. These are the few minor flaws
that happen during the gameplay.
Graphics: 9/10
The graphics in this game, like I said before, look like
they go on the N64. But when you really start to look at it
there are plenty of animations and have very high
resolutions. The mice and cats and Rockets look pretty cool
when they move also. The boards are pretty creative and have
an assortemnt of colors and other neat things. They have
walls, and other thinga to guide your mice to victory (Or
you to victory, either way it'll be good).
Sound/Music: 8/10
Sound: 7/10
If there is a bad point about the game, it has to be the
Sound effects, which really isn't that bad at all. Like I
said before, when the game is doing alot of stuff at the
same time during Multi-player mode, the sound blanks out and
the voice goes into a sorta 's nowy' voice, or Sorta of
Robotic. But other than that the sounds alright.
Music: 9/10
The music in this game meshes very nice with the Fast-paced
Gameplay. My MOM loved the Music in this game! Which sounds
cary at first, but goes nice. And never seems to slow down
or do anything.... well, it's not supposed to do.
Gameplay: 10/10
If there was a choice in bewteen Teris, and Chu Chu Rocket!
I think any person would go with Chu Chu Rocket! First, is
has about 8 Game options to do. And they're ALL pretty much
great. If your bored with thw One Player puzzled, then go to
the Chu Chu Rocket! Homepage and download more and more of
them! Ig you have 4 controlers nd some friends over, thenyou
will have a complete blast with this game. Either getting in
some of the rooms on the network, you can play mulit-player
even with a friend and plus soemone on the internet! You can
also go to the Chu Chu Rocket! Homepage and chat with other gamers
about the game and the games features. Let's say your start off
in a One-Player game. You do the first ppuzzle andsay 'Thats
EASY'. Well when you get to level 24 or soemthing, you'll
be stuck on a puzzle for more then 30 minutes. No joke. It
took me about an Hour to finish this puzzle my friend made.
But little kids beware, some people in the Network rooms
are, well, let's just say 's ick in the Brain'.
Final Word...
If you love puzzlers that aren't that confusingm then this
is for you. It's a jmust have for any Puzzler fans Library.
And a MUST-RENT for any gamers Dreamcast.
