Just like the majority here, my pedal broke so I gave this attachment a try figuring I had nothing to lose. Before even installing it, I was already pleased. It's a very solid piece used and the installation was very easy. It took me under 5 minutes to install it. The real test was actually using it and I love it. It makes the pedal actually feel more like a bass pedal. It gives it more weight I really felt the difference. So much that I'm actually playing better because the fear of my pedal breaking is gone. I was always hesitant when I would play before it broke because of all the reports. With this, that fear and hesitation is gone and now I can really rock out.

No way this product has 5 stars on 28 reviews. The writing tone for a lot of those other reviews is very similar.
After playing 2 songs on expert drums, I can say that unless you play with tennis shoes on, the fact that the screws aren't flush means you'll feel every kick. Specifically the two screws on the left.
Plus your pedal is completely torn up by the mounting screws. If something actually goes wrong with your pedal after installing this, you have to unscrew it and send it back to EA with 6 jagged holes in it - definitely wear above and beyond normal.
PASS.
Gave it three stars since it works as advertised, but it's pretty ghetto. I'd buy a real pedal or just keep sending broken ones in. EA turns them around in like a week and it took 5 months for my first one to break.

My pedal broke for a 2nd time. So I ordered this attachment and it screwed onto the broken pedal perfectly. I have had it for well over a month now and its PERFECT. It even adds weight making it easier to kick down on the pedal. MUST BUY

I just got this the pedal metal 20 minutes ago,I did not take long to put in to the old pedal and now it feels strong and not going to break.Its well worth the prices.Thanks again Pedal Metal for making this!

Looking at the review and feedback history on this seller, they found the right product at the right moment. Hundreds of people have bought a metal plate and a handful of screws, and been delighted to do so. I am among them.
Rock Band has become ridiculously popular, & I constantly have myself and visitors playing. A little plastic tab isn't gonna hold up under our burgeoning drumming skills. It didn't. Snapped right in two.
Ordered this two days ago, and when I got it home today, I spend maybe 10 minutes with a screwdriver and boom, working pedal again. Weighed against the alternative, giving EA a $125 deposit and waiting a couple weeks for a replacement, this is a no-brainer.
PEDAL METAL is right, your pedal breaking is not a matter of if, but when. Get your pedal reinforcement now and save yourself the sad couple of weeks I spend having to settle for - ugh - strings or singing.
