I think this product is definitely worth $15...
I've seen many people of different forums talking about how their pedals broke. Mine hasn't broken yet but every time I played on Hard or Expert I would be worried that it might break. Now thanks to Pedal Metal I don't have to worry as much.
I also have to add that I received it earlier than I expected. I ordered it on Saturday and didn't expect to get it until late this week or early next week and I already received it today.
So to everyone who plays Rock Band, if you want to protect your pedal, this item is definitely worth buying.

It's really unfortunate that EA couldn't put together a quality base pedal for their drum kit, but now it doesn't matter. Thanks to this Pedal Metal, we all have a solution that is affordable, good-looking, and, best of all, works perfectly.
My pedal started cracking after about 2 weeks of playing. Since I've installed pedal metal, the cracks haven't progressed any more and I no longer have to be overly gentle with my base pedal.
EA should start shipping these with any new pedals they send out. Great product.

I bought this after I had two drum pedals break on me previously. I'm not a heavy footed player, but I do play on Expert and that means you're very active on the bass kicks. Over time, the pedal is guaranteed to crack at some point due to poor design and sub par materials. After getting my new replacement, I was shown this product by a friend and I decided this was my best bet in preventing this problem from happening again.
It's sturdy, very easy to assemble, and the instructions are clear and simple to understand.
This is an excellent purchase for anyone wanting to extend the life of their drum pedals, or fix an already broken one.
