Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Control Issues
I purchased the new black FC Twin (with the YOBO logo behind the NES slot) and noticed right off that the directional pad seemed to be a bit stiffer and would respond a bit slower than a regular SNES or NES controller. This isn't noticeable with most games since you can usually get around this slight lag while getting used to the slight timing issues as you get used to playing games with it. However, when playing fasterpaced NES games such as levels 10 and 11 on battletoads, the controller just couldn't keep up with the game and it actually became impossible to get to the last level (something I've done all the time using regular NES controllers and did right before trying it on the FC TWIN). The reason I was having this kind of trouble was because the directional pad just wouldn't respond quick enough without a slight lag time (level 11 on Battletoads requires you to push each directional button at a specific time so you won't crash) making it virtually impossible for me to get anywhere on the level.

Due to the fact that this system won't accept regular NES controllers, I ended up purchasing a regular Super Nintendo controller to try out. When I put in any NES or SNES game with the regular SNES controller, the "Up" button wasn't working at all. These issues really put a blemish on an otherwise great system (I could get past the slightly altered music for the original NES games easily). Don't buy this system expecting the same type of control you'd otherwise expect on an NES or SNES.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Won't allow code for Contra
The console does work well, but it does not allow the 30 lives code to work for Contra. It seems to work well playing the game. The controllers have very short cords is my only other complaint. I would recommend getting an original nintendo and replacing the 72 pin connector if you want to play Contra. Other games seem to work fine.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Compact system for a good price but not without flaws.....
I just got the FC Twin this Friday 1.11.2008 from a local store for $50 and so far so good. The system is a little flimsy feeling, especially the controllers...but I have SNES controllers that I am using instead. The system seems a little sensitive to any little bit of dirt that is on the games, so be sure to clean clean clean 'em before you try to play 'em. I used Windex and q-tips to clean the contacts which seemed to work really well. Before I purchased the FC Twin I was researching and found some info on Wikipedia regarding game compatibility. Wiki stated that the system won't play a few games....well, I found that it WILL play Super Mario RPG Seven Stars for SNES, however I can't get it to play Paperboy for the NES. I'm thinking about getting another Paperboy cart to see if it will work....I really liked that game and Wiki states that some versions of a game won't play while others will.

I see that some people had problems with the system a few weeks after purchase, so I plan to play the heck outta the system in the next few weeks to try it out...also, I kept my receipt and made sure the store had a decent return policy just incase.

Anyway, I would recommend this system to anyone that want's to play some of the old great classic NES and SNES games...but I wouldn't get rid of my real NES or SNES! I think this system is, so far, worth the $50 I paid.

NES and SNES ROCK!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great dual console!!!
This is the best console so far to play both our old nintendo and Snes Games. Hook-up was a piece of cake. Had it up in 5 minutes flat, up and running. The console works great with no problems. So dust off those old games and enjoy a blast from the past. The Old Zeldas are still my favorites.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - ?
The FC Twin is a great system and plays my NES games flawlessly, but I have to keep my foot on the cartridge to keep the connection between the cartridge and the system active. Unless I got a defective one, I'd have to actually warn people about this.
