The PsP charger grip is an absolutely great accessory for your PsP 2000. When I first received this product I was a bit skeptical because it looked like it was cheaply made. So far contrary to the other reviews I have had no problems with my PsP being lose or moving around in the grips. Just as the product description states, this will add another 10 hrs of life to your PsP. Another cool feature is that you can charge the grip and your regular PsP battery at the same time, no waiting around to charge each one separately. Overall this is a great product, a very generous extended playlife for your PsP and its easy on the hands. In fact I no longer like holding my PsP without the charger grip, its just way too uncomfortable.

i recently bought this item and since i play my psp alot i see it as a necessity in a way, but it could have definetly been improved. the grips which i expected to have a rubber grip are pure plastic, and when pressing buttons (especially the shoulder buttons) the console does wabble a bit, making it move in the grip. while your slim psp will fit great in the clips, once you extend the grip so the psp fits in, the two halves of the grip which get separated have bit of room to move. i would still buy this item even if i knew this before hand, but not for this price. it is a great accessory, but not worth the price. $10-$15 at best. i hope similar, more professional designs will hit the market. untill then, this will make your psp feel more comfortable.

Despite what some of the other reviewers have said, I think this product deserves a full FIVE STARS. Here's why:
1. It has a very healthy 3200mAH battery capacity built-in, nearly three times as much as the standard battery (1200mAH) that comes with the PSP itself. So, you can expect proportionately more PSP use between charges.
2. PSP Slim fitment is well designed and DOES indeed lock in place.
3. The Charger Grip complements the looks of the PSP Slim and as its name implies, will provide a more useful "grip". Of course, it looks best with a black color PSP, but still okay even with the ice silver (Daxter) color slim.
And there is at least one other "sleeper" benefit . . . though not intentionally designed to fit with the bulge cover in Sony's PSP Battery Kit, it still fits nevertheless. This combination will boost the total battery capacity to a whooping 5400mAH! This is probably more than enough battery capacity for nearly 24 hours continuous use between recharges, or more than a week between charges using the PSP only a couple hours per day. FANTASTIC!
The grip charger can stay connected to the PSP all the time, so that overnight charging refreshes all batteries together as a set. The amber LED on the Grip Charger blinks slowly when all batteries are completely charged. SLICK!
The only reason for removing the Grip Charger from the PSP is to switch UMDs, or to store your PSP in a custom fit carrying case.

At the time of this writing, this is the only option for me to be able to play the first person shooter games I love to play. If your hands cramp playing with the PSP for any length of time, this is the best option. I don't personally care about the battery, though I look at it as a nice extra feature.
The downside? The handles can unlock and start to push in while playing. I got used to holding it and it doesn't happen that often. I think I can come up with a hack to hold them extended out, but the manufacturer should've addressed this design flaw.
Still, it gets four stars just for making the PSP easier to hold.

This little adapter made all the difference in the world. I can now play for hours on end on the PSP and the comfort level has increased exponentially. It is small and compact and easy to take on trips.
