I bought this last week and when I got it, I slapped in the PSP slim and i thought i was doing something wrong, but the holder doesn't hold very well. When you start playing, the psp wobbles. Not worth it.

This is the exact same product for the older psp except now they added a little bit of padding under the top clips to make up for the extra room left by the psp slim. They really should redesign to make it fit more snug but this little bit of padding added on still leaves a bit of room for wobbling.
I would recommend the PSP Slim Swing-Grip by Naki World. Its much less bulkier and the grips swivel in and out for easier storage. It also has a protective screen and a spring loaded back stand and also lets you change disks without taking off the whole unit.

This is a great accessory. It truly adds about 4 hrs. of battery life, and it will accomodate a PSP slim with a fat battery and cover. It's much more comfortable for extended use of the PSP - no more hand cramps.
My only complaint is that it doesn't lock into the extended position and the PSP does move around a little bit when it's in there. Not a huge deal, but it's easy remedied if you don't mind losing the ability to collapse the charger grip for storage. Just open it to the fully extended position and run a bead of Superglue all around the joints on both sides. When it dries, it'll be nice and firm, as if it was made NOT to collapse. Put in the PSP and it's as tight and immobile as you could ask for.
It's a simple mod that makes the unit 5 stars - and it's 4 stars out of the box. A must-have accessory.

For those you like myself with hands that are bigger than the PSP Slim 2000 then this is a great buy. Feels like you are holding a PS2 controller. On the down side it does not fit perfectly around the device. It is ever so slightly loose but I think that is because it is collapsible. The extra four hours claim for the charger is totally accurate. It is also surprisingly light but at the same time too bulky for the carry cases that were designed for the PSP. All in all a great device worth picking up.

Simply put, this helps hold on to the PSP (more like Playstation controller), and extends the battery life.
