Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Good product
Works as advertised. Makes the PSP easier to handle although it does add some weight. All in all I like this product and would recommend it to anyone.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Wobbles a bit, but easily fixed
Like other reviewers have mentioned, this product is a little bit wobbly. The PSP jiggles back and forth in it a little, and this can get really annoying. However, it's really easy to fix this problem. I cut up two strips of paper, folded them, and taped them down to the left and right sides of the grip, right under where the PSP goes. Now the PSP doesn't wobble and I can use this without it driving me crazy.

As far as the rest of the product goes, the grips are really handy and make the PSP much more comfortable to use. The extra battery life is also great - I travel a lot for work and this will definitely help keep me sane on long, transatlantic flights.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - good concept but poorly made
I got this grip because after getting my PSP and playing for one day my fingers hurt so bad I didn't want to play anymore. This grip solved that problem, making the PSP more like a console controller. The main drawback to this grip is it feels kind of cheap. It feels like the parts that the PSP snap into will eventually get broken off. The PSP does move around in it a little but I don't really notice while I am playing a game.

I can't comment on the battery life because I never use my PSP with out this grip, and I am always able to recharge it before the batteries are dead. Extra battery life, how ever long it is, is just an added bonus for me. I bought this just to make the PSP easier to hold.

I am giving it 4 stars, rather than 5 stars cause it feels so cheap. The PSP is a pretty cool looking device, unfortunately this cheap looking and cheap feeling plastic grip seems to be the only solution for people like me who get hand cramps from the PSP. It would be nice if Sony would make a better quality grip.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Battery improves travel; grip reduces thumb cramps
Not perfect, but still great.

This item is great for two reasons.

1) I do a lot of international travel (read: really long flights), and this extended battery has removed all fears of my PSP's battery not lasting the whole trip. I have yet to see how long it will actually last, but my 12 hour flight to Japan was no problem. I tried to wear the battery down the other day so that when I charger it for my next trip I wouldn't overcharge it. I left the PSP on all day and the battery never died. I was impressed. So were my co-workers. I sold two more to them.

2) The added grips completely eliminated the left thumb cramps I used to get. I would always have to pause the game for awhile and stretch my thumb after playing the PSP for awhile. With these grips, it now feels like a Dual-Shock Playstation controller. It feels like an old friend.

Three Issues:

1) The plastic is smooth and unfinished. I would have preferred a textured surface like a PS controller. You don't really realize this while you are playing, but it does look a bit cheap.

2) As mentioned in other reviews, the grips don't lock in the "open"position, so there is a little wiggle when playing. It is not distracting or a major deal, but again it does cheapen the experience.

3) I travel with a backpack. My PSP, headphones, games and this device. The PSP is stored in a protective case, so this device is just sitting in the backpack. Although this device does "fold up" a bit, the hooks that fit around the PSP do not move and they do stick out quite far. I have a fear that they will snap off while in my backpack. They aren't flimsy, but you could easily see them snapping off if my bag got bumped too hard.

Overall, I love this product. It has made my PSP enjoyment so much better. But it is not perfect. Hopefully Nyko will do some tweaks.

Don't forget to add the Sony Location Free LF-V30 to your PSP accessories. It changes everything.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works well
I noticed after buying the PSP that my fingers would cramp up after playing for a little while. To hold the unit and use the controls can quickly cramp your fingers due to the size of the PSP, if you are an adult.

I picked up this unit to help out with the finger cramps so I can play the PSP for longer times. So far it is working well. There is a little movement of the PSP in the holder but nothing that bothers me. I like having the ability to play games longer with the more comfortable feel and with the extra battery life.

Overall this a nice little adaptor for your PSP if you experience the finger cramps and would also like to extend your battery life.
