Playstation 3 Wired Guitar
I purchased this item from the source. On their website it warns of the non-compatability of this item with Rock Band. I find the response to be better than the "Les Paul" controller sold with the game. I highly recommend this item to anyone with smaller hands. The high fret buttons aid in really shredding those tough parts to bits!

I recently played Rock Band with a friend on his Xbox 360 and he was using a guitar from GH3 that worked flawlessly. I purchased Rock Band for my PS3 and started to gather friends to play, but I needed a 2nd guitar for bass so I purchased this one. After I got it and examined the toy-like quality I plugged it in and fired up Rock Band. I was able to navigate but not play, WHY? After a little online research I learned of the legal problems between Activision and Harmonix preventing patches to allow the use of any guitar controller, so no dice with my new guitar. Back to Amazon and I guess I'll have to wait until March when the Nyko Frontman Guitar comes out.

After reading the last review I feel that if you are looking for a Guitar Hero Controller for the PS3 his review is TOTALLY bogus. This is a pretty good product I would recommend it if you are in need of a controller that works with your PS3 Guitar Hero III and on your PC for Frets on Fire, It works on Both. The controller is very sturdy, looks great and to be honest it's a bit more responsive than the Gibson (just my opinion) But of course there are some drawbacks like the whammy bar is not in calibration out of the box, had to set my Video calibration to 7 to have my whammy respond to every tilt and the shipping was a nightmare out of Utah with the bad weather other than that BUY IT.

The buttons on the controller stick and short out more than the normal GH3 controller. The Website of the Guitar claimed it worked with the PS2 GH games, it DOES NOT. DON'T Buy, wait for a better 3rd part guitar or official GH3 controller.

I bought 2 of these guitar controllers so I could play GH 1, 2 and 80's that I have for PS2 on PS3. I bought them from the ezgear company and the guitar only worked on GH 3 for PS3, I couldn't get it to work with any of the 3 other GH games I had for PS2, so I e-mailed ezgear from their website and asked them if there was something I had to do, or am I doing something wrong? They e-mailed me back stating they are changing their website because this guitar does NOT work with any of the PS2 GH's on PS3! I was kinda upset because this was the main reason I bought THEM! It worked fine on GH3 for PS3 and I am stuck with them since they WOULD NOT take them back! Even though they made the error!
So, my conclusion simply is, if you want or need a second guitar and like wired instead of wireless, yes this is a good guitar and haven't had any problems with it on the GH3 for PS3, but I gave it only 3 stars for the mis-leading! Pretty bad when a company makes a huge error in marketing like that and doesn't even offer to take their product back. Even on the box it is printed "works with PS2 guitar hero games on PS3"!
