Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - PS3 (40 GB) Caution!!!
My PS3 was bought in November 07, only used for blu-ray movies a few of times, This one frozed and quit playing while watching a Blu-ray movie. Afterwards, it would not recognize any discs (games, DVDs, Blu-rays). They have a serius problem with the blu ray drive...

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not Reliable
I have two PS3s (one upstairs, one downstairs). The first one was bought in November and went bad in June. Problem: It would not output to screen every now and then. Must wait for about 6-8 hours before it would work again.
Now, the second PS3 from upstairs just went out. Was sent in last week due to the Blu-ray drive not being able to recognize any discs. I'm having the same issue as one of the reviewers described. This PS3 was purchased in February, so it's not that long ago.
I really don't think the PS3 is reliable. Statistically speaking, this is not good to have two PS3s fail within EIGHT months! BEWARE USERS!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - All in one system
It has got to be one of the most versitile piece of electronic I owe. I use ot for it's blueray capabilities as much as for it's gaming capabilities.

I have it connected to my home theatre and it lets me stream music (and video) from my PC. So, I always have my music library available. This is just one of the features. It has many more.

For the money you pay, you just can't go wrong.

Enjoy it.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great appliance
The ps3 is an amazing machine. Don't think of it as just a game console because it does so much more than that. It does a phenomenal job upscaling regular dvd's to be viewed on large screen tv's, it allows you to stream media content (video, audio, web) to your tv wirelessly or wired, it allows you to surf the web, to communicate with other people via web, and it's the best Bluray disk player (it's upgradeable!) around. You can't go wrong with the ps3.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - fun, but CAUTION!!!!
We got our ps3 in February and after only 5 months, we have to send it in for repairs! It wouldn't read any discs, movies or games. I called Sony, they said we'd have to send it to Texas ( I live in Ohio) and get the repairs done and it would be shipped back. Pain in the rear!!! I am terribly unhappy that the unit only lasted this long. I'm feeling like I should have stayed w/ ps2, or gone to Wii. Sony customer service also needs some fine tuning.
