The PS3 is awsome. No other word describes it. The browser for the internet lacks the ability to play FLASH video online unless it is youtube.com which uses an older flash format. The game play is great and it also plays blue-ray DVD, yet costs less than a blue-ray player. You just can't get a better deal. Came quickly from Amazon also.....to sum it up....WOW!

I have no experience with Xbox 360, so this is not a comparison. I actually bought the PS3 for the Blu Ray player alone. I was really pleased at the capabilities it has for viewing digital photo and movie files. I really hate the time and problems involved in transcoding slide shows or videos to a dvd. The PS3 eliminates the need for all that. It plays back original still and movie files directly from a flash card (you will need a usb reader on the 40 gig version) or from a dvd, flawlessly. I did buy 1 game to play (Oblivion), though that is not what I bought it for, and that's been lots of fun too.
I love this little device and if it broke tomorrow, would definitely buy another the same day. The only con I might mention is that the game does freeze up occasionally, however, that may be a problem with the game disk.

The Sony PS3 (in any configuration) is a great value. The AAA games are really starting to come out now, and it can't be beat as the most future proof Blu-ray player on the market. Firmware updates from Sony ensure that it will keep abreast of all Blu-ray updates. Online game service is free and very capable. And it can be used in conjunction with your PC to stream music, pictures, and video to your tv. As I said at the beginning, a great value all around.

I was thrilled with my Playstation. The price what outstanding as was the service. It arrived (via free shipping) when it was supposed to and was in great condition. So glad I ordered.
