Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Boring
I was really disappointed in the quality of this game after reading the reviews. I expected more. The controls are hard to get down. You get the feeling that nothing you do affects what happens. I'm really having a hard time finding good Wii games beyond Wii Sports and Wii Play!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - A good deal
I have not been disappointed with the gameplay of Winter Sports. I have been impressed with the graphics on each of the games that I've played. The controls are somewhat complicated to master (curling is very difficult to learn), but I think once you take a couple of falls you figure out what exactly needs to be done. The instructions for the controls on screen aren't that great, I would recommend reading the instructions in the manual first. I do think this will be a great party game with our friends and family. And at the price, it will be one of the sports games we turn to.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Winter fun
Game is a blast will all the winter sports will keep you moving and are very challenging lots of fun for the whole family this is a game everyone will enjoy playing.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Winter Sports
We are fairly new to gaming. We really like Wii Sports as well as race games for Playstation like Crash Cart Nitro. Wii Winter Sports is very difficult to use. It does not seem to respond well to the controllers. I would not recommend this game to novice gamers.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Lots of variety, some events too challenging to be fun for kids under eight.
Except for figure skating, most of the events are lots of fun. The actions required in figure skating seem to have no relation whatsoever to the actual sport.
Excelling at some of the events is quite difficult. There is a high degree of arm movement required in many of the events, although leg movement is unnecessary.
Our favorite at this point is downhill skiing. Ghost competition against a family member in split screen is especially fun.
One improvement I would suggest is to allow direct competition between family members in Curling. One can play at the same time as another family member, but never directly. There is always an opposing computer-generated team.
I do recommend this game, but be prepared (in some events) to spend a lot of time getting good at it.
