Opinions vary and the best rated is not always the best personal choice but I have to agree with the high ratings on this one. Although, it has been a trial and error process. Everyone raved about the Zapper so I bought it. Then I returned the Zapper because my husband did not like it (forced to use two hands issue). I tried the Magnum Gun (by CTA Digital) on a friend's recommendation and that did not work out at all, although it looked cool. Enter the Perfect Shot - and we have a winner!
I liked how easy the wii remote slips into place yet remains snug enough so I don't have to worry about it falling out (not fun having to replace remotes at $40 a pop). You only have to use one hand to use the gun which makes for very realistic play. There is an option to attach the numchuk if desired. I like options!
The gun has been compatible with all of our shooting games (Dead 2&3, Resident Evil and James Bond) but a simple check on the video box will take care of this issue.
I highly recommend this gun over the others out there. I've gone through the hassle of trying others and this one is a steal at the price!

This gun is exactly what I was hoping for. It works perfectly with Link's Crossbow Training and with Ghost Squad--I'm so happy with it that I'm buying House of the Dead 2 and 3. It's unfortunate that these are the only games that work with this accessory right now.
I don't know why one low-score reviewer thinks you need to have enormous hands. I have small hands (even for a woman) and had no trouble holding this gun. Use two hands, people!
If you're aware of the limitations of this gun in terms of games, you will not be dissatisfied.

I like this unit it's better than any of the others out there that I have tried and I really enjoy using it even over using my modified Zapper. However it really takes a toll on your trigger finger. The spring they use is ok if you don't shoot a lot... But I want a very light trigger as my wife and I play lightgun games for hours.
So I took a screwdriver to it and undid all the screws and popped out the spring that was stiff and now while it might rattle a little bit, it works brilliantly! I'm ordering another one and will modify that one as well. Yes I know that it voids the warranty, but so what? It's way easier to shoot with and my wifes scores went waaaay up as did mine on Ghost Squad. We will be trying in out on Link's Crossbow later. Just be careful when you take out the screws to be gentle and only pry it open enough to remove the spring which is located on the top of the unit where the Wiimote slides in, the spring is near the back. Also be careful taking the orange brace at the end off so that it doesn't break the little nubs that hold it in place.
Great unit, I highly reccomend it.

This plastic gun has a good grip, so it doesn't totally feel like a toy except for the fact it's white and blue with an orange tip. You must remove silicone jacket and wrist safety strap, so I leave one of my extra remote controllers inside for convenience. I feel that the trigger button has good bounce back for more rapid firing. Although made of plastic, the materials seem well made and heavy enough (with the remote) to feel realistic, not like a toy.
I bought 2 guns, one which is easy to slip in the remote controller, but I think the other one is defective (I can see the alignment stubs are 1-2 mm too high to slide along the remote controller). Hope it's not too late to exchange it!
I use this gun for Duck Hunt in Wii Play, which makes the game more enjoyable. For the price, it's a fun accessory. I just wish Wii offered more non-violent gun games, such as the original Duck Hunt.
By the way, I used this Wii gun as an accessory to my Halloween costume, Sexy Spy! It was a hit with the boys of course.
