First of all, the PC version lacks significant flexibility like that which is found in the console versions. To date, there is absolutely NO downloadable content available to PC users. The online battle interface is remedial at best, and it often has limited or not connectivity. Finally, the well-known issue with high system requirements.
Overall, I'd be a much happier customer if they would redo the PC porting and work harder to lower the system requirements, such as allowing users to disable unnecessary graphic-intensive operations. In a world where all you want to do is wail on the frets without notes skipping ahead, who needs dancing avatars... *sigh*

I love this game. I had played it some time ago, but I am not a console fan, so I had to wait for it to come out in the PC.
I have used it with no problem. I am running Vista Premium Home 64 bit, and a computer index of 5.4.
It's a very fun family game. I am thinking of getting a second controller for the cooperative mode, even though you can play it with the keyboard.

Was hesitant to buy it after reading some of the reviews, but (after calibrating the sound) it runs great on both my macs (iMac and Macbook Pro). Am very happy with my purchase.

I have a Macbook, 2.4GHz and 2 GB memory (which I believe meets the minimum system requirements listed) and the game would not run properly. I downloaded the patches and put all the game options on the most minimalist settings, and still the game would not run properly. Really frustrating.
I have the game for PS2 and it is a fun game, so I would recommend the Aspyr Mac/PC version only if you have a much faster computer.
