This is the best system I have ever owned.. best games, xbox live is to much fun, graphics are crazy makes me drool with my Samsung HDTV!
If you like gaming you must get this system!

So far, so good. In spite of horror stories of hardware failures, and in spite of my antipathy towards most things Microsoft, I finally broke down and got an up to date console. My old PS2 is still fun, but I wanted to be able to play Rock Band & Guitar Hero online with some of my friends & co-workers. I've had my Elite for about a month now, and it has worked well.
Wary of overheating issues, I placed it on top of my entertainment center, which causes some problems with the cords for all of the Rock Band peripherals, and also highlights my one complaint about the machine: The cooling fan is freaking *loud*. Thankfully I can just turn up the volume.
Aside from the noisy fan, I'm very saitisfied with this console. The included controller seems to be especially well built, though I haven't had to use it much up to now.

I just purchased this and would like to know if people who ordered from warehouse have been getting the newer Elite witht he BenQ drive, Falcon Chip, & 175 watt power supply?

If you have children get a Wii, if you need a Blue Ray player get the PS3, for everyone else the best system to get is the XBOX 360. Best system out there right now for the money. Make sure you get the Elite for the hard drive space and especially the HD capabilities.

The Elite performs well. It was delivered on time at a great price. One problem was that seal on the box was broken and had been opened. Makes me wonder if it is a used or refurbished unit.
