Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Not Fun
This game was not very fun, it was kinda boring and too much reading. If you want a fun game that is similar to Movie Scene It, get Smarty Pants!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - More Fun Than I Expected
Big Brain Academy is a lot of fun. The games challenge people in areas such as memory, analysis, computation, identification, etc. Some people wouldn't think that would be fun, but it is!

I noticed a comment about kids and adults not being able to compete because they are at different levels. I would say kids can compete with adults at about age 10. My kids are 9 and 11. My 11-year-old whips my tail and gets gold and platinum medals. My 9-year-old mainly gets silver medals. It's a little harder for him, and he is somewhat reluctant to play because his older sister is doing better than him. These are my family dynamics.

The game has easy, medium, and hard levels. Dr. Lobe, the academy director, is funny because he is so excitable, but he says the same things every time. He is very chatty, and it would be nice to disable his chattiness.

This is a family game. It's keeping me sharp!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great game, too much chatter
This game is probably the most fun Wii game we have played aside from Wii Sports. Everyone in the family has a good time with it, from our 4-year old to the parents. A couple of complaints would be that it does not appear possible to have one of the kids compete against the adults, but choose Easy level tasks for the kids and Hard/Expert tasks for the adults -- that would make the competitions much more balanced.

The other main complaint is that there is A LOT of chatter between attempts -- which is great when you are learning to play, but there should be a way to disable most of that chatter once you have played the game a bit.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fun Game
I bought this game for my Dad for Christmas. It is fun. I also played it with my brother. There are different levels so that the whole family can play. it can be very easy to very difficult. I am happy with my purchase. Your family will love this game too.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Expected more...
After playing the DS version of Big Brain, I was really looking forward to playing this on our new Wii! However, I think for more than double the price of the DS version, this could really have been better.

1) The games don't seem as fun or challenging for the most part.
2) The Headmaster of the Academy needs to put a sock in it! There is WAY too much typed "chatter" to scroll through, when all you want is to keep playing. For example, after every Practice session, it goes through a long rigmarole just to tell you your score (there are fireworks sometimes as well), which might be nice once in a while, but not every time. That aspect is really tedious, and is unlike its DS predecessor. I'm still hoping there is a way to turn that part off (but it doesn't look likely).

All in all, I'm sure I'll keep playing with this one with my family, but it definitely could have been streamlined quite a bit.
