Turok certainly has much to be desired....especially the terrible checkpoints. It certainly is no game of the year contender but for it really scores where the fun factor is concerned.
A year after buying it I still play it. The guns are excellent. Do pick this up if you are lookng for a slightly eifferent and more fun FPS.

Turok is a fun game to play.There is a lot of action and endless enemies to combat,including, fierce Dinosaurs.I am an avid gameplayer and although I haven't finished the game yet,I highly recommend it.

The enemies are all fun besides the humans their aim is rediculous, however the animals you have to fight are very well detailed and fun to come across. The knife cutscenes are awesome as well.

I loved this game but the N64 version was better. I recomend renting the game first in case you dont like it. The graphics were awesome and the effects were cool; shooting things up while listening to my surround sound is great. Will play again on my next deployment just so that time will pass faster. I love the crossbow and the knife!!! Best weapons ever!!!
And for the baby that cryed about the enemy being faster or how their aim is better than yours, stop freaking crying about it!!! So what if your vision gets blury, MAN Up and and Kill.

Turok sucks! Period. The save points are horrendous. The graphics are not up to par for next gen. The enemies are faster than oyu and never miss when they shoot at you. When you get hit, the screen goes blurry and by the time you get your bearings, you're dead. The weapons are outright lame. It takes so many shots to take down enemy soldiers. If you like FPSers like COD4, Resistance, and Bad Company, you will hate this game. Everythin g that makes those games great is utterly absent from Turok. What a waste. Frustrating beyond belief.
