Mercury Meltdown Revolution is an excellent game, and it's all the more amazing given the price. If you've enjoyed the Monkey Ball series it's all but guaranteed that you'll like this game as well.
I'm giving the game 5 stars because there's no question that it deserves it, but it does have one flaw that crops up fairly frequently: the viewpoint. There are often occasions in the game where you need to split your mercury blob apart, and the game will typically pull back the camera to take in all the parts, making it difficult to control the one you'd like it to focus on. There are other viewpoint issues that crop up as well (obstructed views, no good angle available, rapid switching between blobs) in a fair number of levels, and deaths caused by viewpoint issues are frequent. But it's a testament to the game's quality that it's still so enjoyable even with these issues.
Overall, this game is a pure joy--fun, addictive, and challenging--and if you're a fan of this type of game at all, you shouldn't hesitate to try it.

Mercury Meltdown Revolution is a puzzle game with a simple concept, but one that requires a fair amount of skill to unlock all of the bonus material.
You control a glob of Mercury and use one of the several control schemes (Wiimote, Classic Controller etc) to tilt the screen in order to manipulate the glob.
Every challenge has a Goal that must be reached within the time limit. However things get complicated as you must frequently use items found on each level to change the color and texture of your glob to make it to the finish line.
This is a game that will certainly make you think, and ocassionally make you scratch your head. While there are some multiplayer features that get unlocked as you progress, the main gem of this game is in the single player quest.
Overall this game will not stand up to the visual rivals of the "other" Next Gen systems, however its cartoon-ish style works well within this context. The game is easy to pick up and play and offers a great deal of satisfaction with its 130+ levels.
This is a great buy for anyone looking to round out their Wii library, and at a [...] it won't hurt you wallet.

This is one of the best overlooked games for the Wii. The Wiimote works great and really makes the game so much better. If you're into casual, intuitive games this is not to be passed up.

I bought this game after reading some of the other reviews and am so glad I did. It is an excellent bargain at only $20 when they could easily charge $50. I love how the game has a ton of levels. Each lab has about 20 levels and if you pass enough levels you open up another lab. There are about 10 labs. In addition to having a bunch of different challenging courses I have a lot of fun going back and trying to beat my old scores or getting all the stars or doing the course without losing any mercury. In the reviews I read that after you open up enough labs the game becomes two-player but I only have one more lab to open up and it is still a one-player game. My partner and I still enough watching each other and trading off who plays. It's almost as fun to watch as it is to play. This is a great game and I am glad I bought it, especially considering that it costs about $7 just to rent a game. For that price you may as well buy this game.

I haven't played video games since Atari. My niece and nephew are the video players now. But, I must say I love this game. It is so much fun. It is very easy to catch on to. Once you play you're hooked. I love it.
