I saw a good increase in resolution... at a price you can't beat. I think some people had issues with this cable because of issues configuting their Wii to use it correctly and their TV to accept the image at the higher resolution

I can't say the video quality is significantly better than it was using the RCA cables, but by connecting directly to the TV instead of through an input line on the VCR the games play better. I was having trouble with a pinball game - experiencing a time delay when flipping but not anymore. So that alone was worth the price. Unless you're playing on some 50+ inch TV, then these cables should work just as well as those (way more) expensive ones.

After initial skepticism that 480p and a cable would really make much difference, I am now a true believer. I play the Wii on my 47" Vizio (1080p capable) and the clarity difference w/ the component cable is truly amazing. My assumption is that it may not make any difference on a tube TV displaying at 480i, but if you have an HDTV, I highly recommend the Wii component cable. Once installed, don't forget to set your Wii to display at 480p...

The price is low enough to risk it and it works. The game display seems a little better. I'm not sure if the Nintendo branded cable would be worth the price difference.
