This product worked fine, even through walls, but when it came to working with a firewall... it didn't. Just plan on disabling your firewall or antivirus software if you would like to use this. Its really you're only option if you don't have a wireless router.

the wii fii connector is a very good device i have used it to met miis on my wii all over the world and even purchase games and see the news i recomend it but if you already have wireless internet there is no reason for it but if you dont i recomend it 100%

I am an Apple person that owns ONE Pee Cee for occasions just like this. The bottom line is that it worked and bought me the time I needed to figure out where my Hex equivalent password was that Nintendo was so insistent upon me typing into their game. With this gimmick you do not have to give out your WEP Key (password) to every kid that brings their gameboy into your house.
Which means that even if you are wireless like myself, you can entertain without breaching your security. These are the very kids with time on their hands that would really enjoy your wireless connection for those downloads they should not be downloading.

Lots of people on Nintendo's forums are having trouble getting this to work on AMD systems. I have to use my Intel based laptop to make it work.
