The only reason why I bought this was that my original one that came with the Xbox 360 broke. I saw that this was cheaper so I got it. Now I am very happy that I did, it is much better and more comfortable than every other one I've had. The sound is great and I have not had a single problem with it so far. If you want a headset that works, get this one!

I bought this for my sons. They say the audio quality is as good or better than the MS one they were borrowing from their friend. They echo previous reviewer's comments in that they don't care for the placement of the volume/mute switch. This feels of better quality than the MS one. They weren't crazy about the look of it at first but they use it regularly.

My original headset broke, so I got a new, uncomfortable headset that works great. Then I got this one and my friends can hardly hear me talking.

I ordered this to replace the original xbox 360 headsets that were quickly broken by my nephews. So far the headsets have worked great. I've used it to send some voice messages and also as the microphone on Rockband and don't have any complaints.

I bought this to replace the headset that came with the Xbox 360, which unceremoniously broke shortly after I got the console!
The headband is comfortable, and much sturdier than the flimsy plastic the default headset is made from. The "earmuff" piece is also much more comfortable. Microphone also feels less flimsy when handled. Overall the build quality of this headset is *far* better than the Microsoft one.
The only annoying thing is that the volume and mute switches are on a remote clip, and not directly near the controller. I generally don't clip anything to my shirt while playing, so this made for some confused fumbling when trying to mute sounds.
Nice bonus is that the product works with both Xbox and 360.
Overall, a fine unit, a great replacement for the default 360 unit, but the controls could use some work!
