Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Gameboy Advance still a winner!
The Gameboy Advance is still a winner for little people. My son is turning 5 and he is catching on very quickly. Not too many buttons and switches to deal with.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Black GBA SP ever
This is such a great product. Graphite = Black and these new models of GameBoy Advance SP are far more superior to other models, expect the new pink and new bright blue models. If you have any other color of SP get one of these new ones because they have a WAY better screen, much more brighter. I use to have a silver and dark blue SP. This new black SP's screen on the low setting is still brighter then the highest setting on the older model of SP's. Yes there are only 3 colors available but oh well. The price cannot be beat here at Amazon cause of the no tax and free shipping making it even cheaper than buying one at the store whose price is same but add tax and time to travel and the savings add up. Also as of this posting date it has been a few months that I have seen this graphite model in stores and I ran the gauntlet of them and no one has them in stock cause "they have stopped making them" yet I can find them here for brand new on the best place to buy electronics.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Graphite GBA SP Is Impressive
This is my first GameBoy Advance and I'm impressed with the SP. The display is sharp with two light settings for play in normal/dark and bright enivironments. I've had it for a few weeks and have played it nearly everyday and had to charge the battery only twice.

I had to buy an adapter to use headphones for stereo sound (the SP has only one speaker). While that is not a major problem, a standard headphone jack would have been convenient.

Unfortunately the GameBoy-Advance-to-GameCube adapter covers the SP's AC power socket so the GameBoy must be charged when used with the GameCube.

The Select and Start buttons are at the base of the SP instead of the middle, which makes reaching for them somewhat inconvenient. They should have been under the B and A buttons (which are fine where they are), and L and R buttons that mimic the L and R shoulder buttons should have been placed above the B and A buttons. It would have made fighting games much easier to play. With a little practice, though, it is not a bother.

The Graphite version looks really good. I was waiting for a lower price but the Graphites were disappearing everywhere so when I found one on Amazon, I submitted, and it was worth it. After using it for a while, I'm very happy with it!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - GBA SP Graphite rocks!!!
The unit is built really well. The color is outstanding! The improved screen is soooo much better lit. And it plays my old games in style. It's a wonderful device from Nintendo...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - finally, the GBA in virtually perfect form
Two extra-bright screen settings, a huge game library, a sleek folding design and dark color, and a regular headphone jack.... Er, 3 out of 4 ain't bad. If Nintendo had only realized that a regular headphone jack should be standard on any handheld system, the GBA SP2 would be flawless.
