Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Pretty Good
Not bad ,but not as great as other reviewers would lead you to believe, first off game play is very good, dynamic campain, lots of variety in missions, the learning curve is steep but that should be no surprise with this title.
Now the graphics-you guys gotta be kidding me,compared with other flight sims that came out about the same time, notably Lock On and Pacific Fighters this game is lame graphicly and I mean lame. Flying close to the ground is like flying over spilled paint, it's terrible.
And their bragging about it.Luckily there is a fix called Hi-Tiles that addresses that problem fairly well but will cost you another 12 bucks or so but it's worth it. You can find it at the games web site.
Controls, there's lots of them, but what I found annoying were the outside view from the cockpit, instead of a smooth look at the world outside you get this snappy and confusing hatswitch view that doesn't seem natural, you'll get used to it eventually ,you'll have to. Dont get me wrong this is a very good sim but the reviews of the past seem to come from starved Janes Sim fans. But I do recommend this sim.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Too real for me!
Initially I was greatly impressed with the graphics and the models; however I found the "realism" in flying the F-16 is simply too complicated for me. Getting to memorize all the key combinations in flight is difficult for me! Although a great sim, I play it rarely. The time it takes to enter a mission objective is too long {for me}, frequent freeze ups occur when I "switch" targets. For those with patience, this is the most realistic sim on the mkt; I wish I knew someone who can educate me on game "patches".

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - excellent
This game loaded easily and worked right away. It is very indepth as to flying and to fly as an expert it'll take a while to learn all the controls within the cockpit. I use a thrustmaster Fox2 pro joystick to fly with and it works perfectly with this simulation. I have no negative response to this game although the manual is 716 pages long. If you are into realistic flying simulators then this is an excellent choice but realize that this is not just a point and shoot simple flight simulator. It's well worth the money.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - allied force
Allied Force is an extremely entertaining and complex game.I would highly reccommend it to anybody interested in the F-16 fighter. The only complaint I have is that I ordered and paid for a new CD and was sent a used one.

This is NOT A GAME....REPEAT.....THIS IS NOT A GAME!

You must be prepared to take on the responsibilities of a REAL F16 FIGHTER PILOT!!

"NEVER ask a a man if he is a FIGHER PILOT! If he is, HE WILL TELL YOU! If he isn't, you'll only embarass him".

To qualify for this SIMULATON, you must be willing to devote MANY HOURS to the various systems of the F16 Fighting Falcon which include:

1. Basic flight control systems.
2. Radar systems.
3. Weapons systems.
4. Avionic
5. Communicton
6. Navigation
