Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lots of fun when Rebels strike
Rebel Strike is the third game in Factor 5/Lucasarts' Rogue Squadron series. It is an arcade flight shooter with tactical elements, and this installment mixes things up by including on-foot and vehicle missions.

I like how Factor 5 dared to be different this time around. You get to play as an AT-ST walker and direct Ewoks to trigger their traps on Endor. You also get to relive the famous speeder bike chase, and thanks to some truly stunning graphics this scene is just as cool as it was in the movie. In fact a lot of this game covers sequences that the previous installment, Rogue Leader, didn't cover. If you put the two games together you pretty much get a complete Star Wars Trilogy package.

The flight missions are still top-notch. The Jedi Starfighter makes a cameo this time around, and you get to drop those cool seismic charges like in the movie. The on-foot missions though, are somewhat problematic. You can run around and blast Stormtroopers, but the controls feel a bit loose and the aiming reticle doesn't always latch onto the person you want to shoot at. Jumping can become a royal pain, especially in the Dagobah and Sail Barge missions. Overall these missions are playable, but their unrefined qualities make them too easy compared to the flight and vehicle missions, and they work mostly as a mild diversion.

We also get a bunch of bonus content in Rebel Strike. ALL of Rogue Squadron is available in 2-player co-op mode, and I'm surprised Factor 5 managed to squeeze it all in. There are dvd bonuses like art galleries, a making-of, and even audio commentary. There's also the 80s Star Wars arcade games wrapped in a funky disco-themed menu. Overall while the on-foot missions have flaws, there's a ton of fun and value in the package that can't be overlooked. This is a must buy for Star Wars fans.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - AWSOME GAME!
I love this game, and, its alot of fun to on the rouge leader 3 missions with a friend, and beat them then. I own rebel strike, and rouge leader 3, and its ALOT more fun to play rebeel strike!! Also, you get speeder bikes, and in the dogfights, you get sonic charges, lay in loads of #'s and get the frig outta the way!!!!!!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Should have stuck to fighter combat
The Star Wars Rouge Squadron games were always at the top of the list when it came to action games. They were not really flight sims because of the simple controls. Star Wars Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike decided to change things by adding on foot missions. Not a good idea. You wander around shooting storm troopers while having to deal with an annoying target lock system and a horrible camera that you can't even control. The graphics are great and starfighter missions are still as good as ever, but there are less of them in order to make room for the on foot missions. The starfighter missions are also not as interesting as Rouge Squadron II which had you escorting star cruisers through a dibris filled nebula while being attacked by groups of TIE fighters. Rebel Strike does have 2-player dogfighting and 2-player co-op in which you and a friend can play through the single player story from Rouge Squadren II. However, if your looking for a better single player story minus all the painful on foot levels, you should probably just get Star Wars Rouge Squadren II: Rouge Leader.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Crappy and Frustrating
Being a big fan of the SW series, I must say that I found this game frustrating and pointless. The only good thing about this game is using it as a frisbee in family picnics

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Rogue Squadron III Rebel Strike
I really like this game a lot, the graphics are pretty intense and acurate. The levels however are a little too easy and there arn't enough of them. However, the intergration between game and movie footage is very cool and helps it pertain to the Star Wars saga. When you are on foot, it can get a little tedious but the flight missions are a blast. Overall it's a great game and lives up to the first two.
