I think the Gameboy Advance SP is a great handheld videogame console. The things that I love most about it are the clamshell design, the backlighting(so you can see your games now) and the built-in lithium-ion battery(all you have to do is charge it up and you're ready to go). All these things combined make this one sleek system. One that will continue to dominate even when everyone else comes out with their handheld systems. Why? Lots of reasons. Like the fact that it's alot more affordable to get and the games for it don't cost you an arm and a leg(mostly in the $25 to $35 range depending on what games you get for it). Beyond that, there's a huge library of games for it as well as a huge back library of games(from the original GB up to the GBC). That said, I urge all those who's thought about getting one to get one. You'll be glad you did, trust me. It's more than just a handheld SuperNintendo system. Check it out and you'll see what I mean.

If you were thinking about buying an original Gameboy Advance I would highly reccomend reconsidering. I recently purchased the new GBA SP and was very impressed with the sleek design and great performance of this product. The visuals are very nice, and there are tons of great games out there available for the system. If you were concered about the small size don't worry my hands are fairly large, and holding the system was very comfortable.The Frontlit screen is probobly the most notealbe and anticipated new feature the system has to offer, I was able to play games in a room without any lighting whatsoever with ease, and with the new Lithium Ion battery being used as the power source you won't be needing to spend money on batteries for roughly 3 years; This feature will pay for itself over and over again. I have owned a good deal of handheld consoles and by far this this is the most innovative of them all, finally Nintendo Got it right! My only complaint was the lack of a built in headphone jack for private listening, so you'll have to pay a bit more for the headphone adapter if you plan on using headphones. Unfortunately it always seems to be bundled with something, other than being sold as a standalone item, But the good that this product has to offer greatly outweighs the bad, which makes it highly reccomendalbe. If you have been searching for a great handheld system your search is over, So what are you waiting for? There's no time like there present and these little handhelds are going fast, better get yours while they are still so abundant. ;)

this is my current favorite game system, it beats out x-box because its so portable so you dont have to go into the basement fight your bro for a turn, SP is the best, back-lit rechargeable battery heck the money you save on batteries adds up to the extra cost of it

The screen was way too dark on the original Game Boy Advance (GBA), so I could barely see the picture of the video game I was playing. I could only see the glares, scratches, and finger-prints that were on it. But, thankfully, the Nintendo Company created the awesome GBA SP which has a light that is inside of it and lights up the whole entire screen. No glares, perfect lighting, and a screen, which folds down when you are done playing a video game, make the GBA SP a great product! I am very happy that the screen folds down because now I barely have to worry about it getting damaged by scratches, finger-prints, etc. I chose the Onyx-colored GBA SP because, in my opinion, it looks the coolest. The video games for this awesome hand-held console are brilliant! "The Hobbit", "LOTR: FOTR", "LOTR: TTT", "LOTR: ROTK", "The Hulk", "Pirates of the Caribbean", "The Lost Vikings", "Barbarian", and "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past" are just some of the brilliant video game titles for the GBA SP. I highly recommend that you buy this awesome product! Ditch your original GBA and buy the Onyx GBA SP.
