(Note:This is a review only on A Link to the Past)I got this game a long time ago.I had recently completed Link's Awakening and wanted more.Let me tell you I got more than I ever wanted. The story centers on Link who is woken up one night by a telepathic plea for help from Princess Zelda. He steps out of his home and begins a quest that will lead him through dark dungeons, high mountains, and a corrupt Dark World. He will also find hidden treasures, and face the personifacation of evil Ganon. The graphics are great (especially since the game was released in 1992)And the weapons are cool. The score is beautiful and the monsters are tough to beat(especially the two headed dragon in the next to final boss.)It has it's flaws such as too little story and too few sidequests.Overall the entire game is awesome, easily surpassing The Wind Waker and equalling the Ocarina of Time.

It is great to be able to play this game on a portable, handheld system. I am a college student; usually, to pass the time between classes, I pull out my Nintendo DS Lite and play some classic Nintendo games; as of late, the most frequently played game that I own is this one. I have all four of the Super Mario Bros. Advance games and, trust me, I have given them their fair share of play. This game is a basic revamp of the old SNES version. In my opinion, it is equally good as the one that came out in the early nineties. I have some fond memories of that old game for the SNES; I remember back to 1998, when I completed it in less than forty-eight hours and thinking that I really accomplished something. I have noticed that some people have given some negative feedback to the new noises that Link makes; personally, I think that they are bearable; the more I play, the more that I get used to them. The additional multiplayer game, Four Swords, is great, too. I own that game for Nintendo Gamecube and I have played it a lot on that system, but not really on my Nintendo DS; personally, I think it is better on the Gamecube, but of course it is fun to be able to play it on a portable system. What more can I say? This game doesn't disappoint. It is a must have.

This is a faithful reproduction of the original Zelda for NES. I'm glad that the people at Nintendo understnad there's a demand for these old games. At the same time though, I was afraid that they'd go around and 'update' them, which we all know is just another way of saying 'ruining' a good thing.
If this game came out today I'd give it a two. I give it a five though, because of how great it was in the 80s and because its essentially unchanged in this new release for GBA.

I bought the game as a gift for my boyfriend, who is currently stationed overseas. He really enjoys playing it. The good thing is that it's not so difficult that you need a walkthrough, but not so easy that you get through it too fast.
