Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A new FPS to join Quake and Doom!
Ever since Quake showed up at our mailbox at Game Revolution, I awaited its followers, witch all seemed to do bad. Finally, Rare said, "I've got it! Lets make a FPS based on a movie!" amd they did, and it sold. After that, many more not so good FPSs popped out. Finally, in Rare's mind an idead arose, "Let's make a game based on going back in time!" and they did and it sold. After that, Rare said, "Let's make a sequal to that game we made called TimeSplitters and make the best Arcade and Story mode possible," and they did BUT! It didn't sell. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City popped up the same day TimeSplitters 2 did. GTAVC did so well, TimeSplitters was left in the dust. Even though TimeSplitters 2 did better than GTAVC in graphics, modes, worlds, and story mode, GTAVC took over.

After flunking GTAVC (well, i did) I picked up TimeSplitters 2 for the heck of it and popped it in. Soon enough I had a crowd behind me waiting to play multiplayer. Those people at Rare put there minds to the max, and they created game so weird, it was great! TimeSplitters 2 has story mode in wich you take place as many charectors. You go through 12 great looking levels with thousands of puzzles and people. Then after that story, you go to Arcade mode and play the leagues that are SO fun i will keep you up for days. Then after Arcade mode, you go to Multiplayer mode and play 16 different options of gameplay and 15 (i think...) awesom levels. The guns...OH THE GUNS! are so sweet, you'll develop favs! The guns look sweet too! You even get mines and TNT (wich you can stick to people!) and have massive explosions. You can also unlike the weirdest cast of charectors like Calamari, Ducks, GingerBread Men, Snowmen, Monkeys, Tigers, Gargoyles etc. Oh! And did I mention you, yes you, get to pick a cast of Bots when you're by yourself?! And your 5 fav. guns?! You can have more than four friends to play! You can have 15 bots and your four friends deck it out! And finally, smart AI, you get smart bots that don't just go after you! They also help plan out stratigies for you! This game is the best FPS to hit the shelves since Quake or Doom! So go out in buy it! NOW! GO GO GO!!! Scare you later! Are you gone? GO BUY IT NOW!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - good game
this game is great, it is one of the best first person shooters out right now, and it has some way better features than halo for xbox (which i also have). this game is also better than red faction because there is a better story line and the map maker is great, people say that the map maker only lets you customize your maps with already built rooms and stuff, what do they know?!? you can build your own rooms if you take the time to expirament with the game. Also I used 2 have this game for ps2 and game cubes version has better graphics, less loading time and the guns are more realistic. whoever said that xbox and ps2 have better graphics needs to get glasses and learn something. i used to make video games so i know a little bit more about graphics, critics;). bottom line, if you are looking for a great first person shooter try this out,But if you are looking for a first person shooter with a more indepth story and not based on some history consider halo,

Timesplitters from 1 to 5

graphics: 4.5
sound: 5
story line: 4
Music: 2 -repetitive
replay value: 3 - repeats same.

Halo 1 to 5

Graphics: 4.5
Sound: 5
Story line: 5
Music: 3
replay value: 2 - repeats story, and is not open ended at all.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Bond, schmond! This game is great!!!!
If you're looking for a first-person shooter with a fantastic Multiplayer and a pretty decent Story Mode (single-person objevtives, etc..), then this is the game for you. While playing the James Bond "Nightfire" game at a friends house, I couldn't help but notice how bad that game's multiplayer is compared to TS2! TS2's gameplay is not choppy, never slows down, and is pretty fast paced and fun! Bond's multiplayer is dark (hard to see), the characters are slow, and the reaction time is pretty bad, plus the levels are pretty boring. The levels in TS2 are colorful and bright, and fun to play in, with plenty of interactive stuff (like in the levels with torches on the walls, you can light the tip of the arrow in the crossbow on fire which makes your enemy catch fire when shot!) There's no blood, so parents will approve of it, there are dozens and dozens of unlockable options like cheats, new levels, a brick for a weapon,
and there are a lot of unlockable characters. The Story Mode's levels pretty fun but a bit too short and easy, but they get better as you go along. This game has a great amount and variety of weapons that range from crossbows and "Cowboy Era" Garrett Revolvers to Sci-Fi Handguns and Laser Guns. The characters are funny also. They range from ducks, gingerbread men, and monkeys, to Russian spys and soldiers, and an elite group of intergalactic time-soldiers. The main thing that makes this game different from others is the range of times this game takes place in. From Notre Dame in the 1800's to a Space Station in the 25th century. Overall, this game is great and I would highly recommend it.
