Brittney Spoons?? lol You will see what I mean when you get this game. It is outstanding and has the game play quality similar to NFL 2k1 but stands apart with its college atmosphere. The game play is quick and the option play really adds to the experience. See all you Sega Sports fans online.

I've been waiting for a NCAA football game since purchasing my Dreamcast, and this game is it ... well, sort of.
The game plays very smoothly and offers a number of playbooks customized to the team you've chosen. However, some of the true excitement of college football is missed. A few college fight songs are in the game, but they're played IN EVERY stadium. It's annoying to hear another college's fight song in your "home" stadium. Of course, this means that most college fight songs are not included.
Secondly, the play-by-play announcers are way off base in many scenarios. (Including calling TCU the "Mustangs" and SMU the "Horned Frogs", as well as indicating teams have turned the ball over when they haven't.) I wonder if this game skipped the QA process to hit a time deadline?
In any event, despite these annoyances, the control and graphics and good, and are modeled after the same in NFL 2K1. In trying to provide an option offense for the college version, Sega *almost* got it right, but the quarterback control during the option is a bit awkward.
The game is worth the money if you're like me, and you've *got to have* a college football game, but if you only have a passing interest in NCAA football, I'd recommend saving your money.

This game varies little from NFL 2K1, except for aweful announcing and college teams. The option controls horribly and is useless, especially if you want the quarterback to keep it.
Had i not played NCAA Football 2002 for PS2 i may have given this four stars, however it falls very short when compared to it.
One thing that has always bothered me with the 2K football games is the lack of big hits, players seem to run into each other and just flop over with no sounds to give the feel of a big hit. And thats still missing in this game.

Well maybe it's a case of waiting so long..If you have nfl 2k1 you have this game. Exact same gameplay, QB voices, player chatter, slow kickoff and extra point set ups etc...Other negatives are the horrible announcers..stupid stuff, annoying voices bad, bad jokes. Where are announcers we've ever heard of(no offense to the guys who do the voices)?
Good things- Stadiums are great, uniforms are sharp, rosters are very updated, rankings(although in my first season Louisville was my opponent in the rose bowl and temple and army were in the top 5) are cool. Heisman winners, and the legacy mode.
Other bad things are the lack of fight songs, only a few real ones, instead you get songs like thr graduation entrance theme??
Halls of montazuma(sp) etc...no FSU chop song(yes Braves fans we had it first)Oh well it's great to play one season then it's very boring..I have played the college football for ps2 at a friends and i think I liked that one better although the defensive controls are difficult to master..Maybe it's time to jump on the ps2 bandwagon..keysvilleboy@msn.com
