I have only had this game for a short amount of time, but i have discovered that i can't pull myself away from it.The graphics probably arent as good as nfl2K2, but it doesn't take away from the fun in this game. I don't really mind if the fight songs are a little off(there are aobut 20 songs). The atmosphere in this game is good, but not as good as ncaa college football for PS2. some people say that too many passes are intercepted, but thats only because they through into tight coverage and constantly run pass plays, which the computer will pick up on.

I was overjoyed to find that Dreamcast was coming out with a college football game with the same engine as the NFL2k games. I was giddy with excitment when I finally got it and played. Unfortunately, its not all its cracked up to be. The big thing that this game lacked is that there is no BCS rankings (although in reality this might be a good thing), anyway after playing a season in Legacy mode with Virginia Tech and beating other teams by an average of 50+ points and winning the National Championship, I was irritated to find that the next season and losing only one or two starters from the previous season, my starting rank was 60th. Anyway, the lack of the small details like not being able to name your player and so forth and so on is just part of the dissapointment in this game although I would still suggest it if you like College football.

I was so glad when I found out that there was finally a College Football game coming to the Dreamcast. After playing it, I am still glad I bought it. However, it does have its flaws. As far as the major factors of the game are concerned, it is a good game. However, the small details are where this game is lacking. For instance, lets start with the background behind the stadiums. If you have played at Memorial Stadium at the U of Illinois and Purdue's stadium, you will notice that the scenes beside the end zone look awfully familiar. Not only are they the same, but they are horrible (There are no mountains in East-Central Illinois and West Central Indiana, yet for some reason, there is a large hill jutting out of the background.)
Besides that small flaw, the announcers are very repetitious and boring, and get turnovers and touchdowns way too confused. The national championship decision system is worse than the BCS (If you go undefeated as Akron, it is likely you will play in the championship game.) As a U of I fan, I am astounded that "Oske-wow-wow" or "Illinois Loyalty" was not included in the fight songs. It is very annoying to score and have to hear "Hail to the Victors" or Notre Dame's fight song. And the most annoying problem is the horrible descrepancy between passing on the easy level and the normal level. In the easy level, every pass is a completion. However, on the normal level, you receivers are covered by three DB's and even if it is a good pass without coverage, your receivers cannot catch. Very frustrating.
Nevertheless, it is good to finally play college football on the Dreamcast. Even though you can't play as Kurt Kittner or Brandon Lloyd, you know you are still playing as QB #15 or WR #6 for Illinois. It is too bad that there will not be a chance for Sega to improve on this game for the Dreamcast. As a person who refuses to by a play-station, it is frustrating how few NCAA games there are for Sega and Nintendo machines, and I will take what I can get.

I got this game for my birthday and I was really excited because its the first College Football game for Dreamcast. The Graphics are great and the commentary is pretty good. Here are the problems......There are only a few fight songs, for example if you are playing with Clemson and score a touchdown, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish song will play.Weird.Also,if you play Starter level, you receivers will only catch the ball 1 out of every 25 passes and 90% of the passes are intercepted. To sum it all up,this is a descent game, but it will never be a great game.
