Trust me, do not buy this game. It is a one trick pony, and that trick is online play. Forget about the slowdown and lag and disconnects, that stuff just happens with online play. The problem with the game is its EXTREME repetitiveness. There are really only 3 quests to do, and thats it. If dungoens on the quests randomly regenerated every time, I'd have no problem with this game, but they don't. Although I've kicked this game to the side, my friend is still addicted to it, and he knows the levels by heart, he doesnt even have think about it anymore, he just goes through the motions now. If its a good RPG you're looking for then check out Grandia 2, or (a little old school now) Panzer Dragoon Saga. Of course if you like running through the same dungeons and fighting the same monsters, then by all means, waste your money on Phantasy Star Online.

This game is classified as an RPG right???? Well where is the RPG in it?? I'll I see is a Shoot'em up game. I was eager to play this game due to the fact the previous Phantasy Stars were really good. If I wanted a shoot'em up game I would have bought Quake 3 arena. It is an absolute disgrace to call this an RPG. If you are a die hard RPG, which I am, don't bought this game. Sell you're dreamcast and get Psx and buy Final Fantasy 9 instead. The only cool thing about this game is that you can set your characters weight, height and features. that is about it. So bottom line is that Sega flopped this one just like they do everything else. I'll stick with my Psx and Final Fantasy 9 thank you very much.

This is THE best game i have ever played. I would have given it a five star but it has one major flaw, or 2-3 to be precise. You must be prepared to lose charecters rare items, etc. It gets ve3rydisapointing haveing to do things over and over again and lsoig your favorite weaopon. Other than that it is a great game.

When I saw Phantasy Star Online on tech TV i was amazed then I ordered it on Amazon, it had beutiful graphics and Xtrteamely fun. when I played the Play Station 2 and then Phantasy Star Online, PSO blew Play Station 2 out of the water!

The game of the year almost. This is the best game i have ever played on the Dreamcast. The best part is that you can play with other people from around the world. When you type to the person in japan, the person there sees what you wrote in japanese. Then you can see what he\she wrote in english. Another good part about the game is that you can have all theses rare weapons and you can trade for other things. The only thing i have against the game is that there are not very many levels in it. The other thing is that the server crashs every month because of to many people joining. Other Than that this is the best game.........
