Acutually this game is very realistic! It has a way of making you feel like you can actually play like the players do! There are somethings that are added features like bowser's stage, and other stuff too! I can't really explain it but, the controls are easy to follow, easy to learn, and easy to fall madly in love with. The graphics are well done and the special effects are good too!

I think this is another outstanding addition to the Mario franchise because of one thing - it's fun. Even though I've never figured out how to lob the ball over people at the net (one of the only cons), you can get into some serious rallies with players of all skill levels, and it's pretty fun to see who cracks first.
The multiplayer mode, as noted by others, is incredibly fun. True doubles strategy is in action, and it's good to see that in any sports game.
However, I personally seem to have a problem with the depth perception on some shots. Even after playing the game for quite a bit of time, there are times when I think, "wow, I'm really gonna crank this one..." and I end up whiffing the ball instead, leaving me clueless as to why.
Playing the computer is also lots of fun, but it can be frustrating at times. Wendy and I spent a good 6 hrs trying to beat Princess Peach and Donkey Kong on "difficult," and we cheated by setting the set length to "win by 2." sigh.
So, bottom line- regardless of whether you play tennis or not, it's an incredibly fun game. As a tennis player, you won't get annoyed at any of the fun stuff thrown in (I equate the extras in Mario Tennis to those in NBA Jam and the sport of basketball). It's fun and addicting, and I highly recommend it.

This is a blast to play! It's a game you can always come back to and if you're with other people, just sit and talk while playing. It's fast paced, simple, and there's enough variation in characters to really make things interesting. The graphics are not high in polygon count, but they are very bright and crisp, and the replays display some awesome lighting effects. The camera motion is also real really well done, so that the screen doesn't seem fixed in one spot. When you're on the far side of the coart, it doesn't seem as aquard as you might first think, and it switches during the game. It's simply awesome. Don't listen to anything negative about this game, it's simply not true :-) (By the way, it's NOT made by Mayamoto, it's Camalot.)

Well, unfortunately, the time has come where I must not highly recommend one of Mr. Shigeru Miyamato's --Mario's creator-- games... I'll list the good qualities first: As always, the multiplayer is good. There is a wide enough range of character selection. There are some challenges, before a certain point. The graphics are good. The sound isn't bad. Now, after that string of bland statements, I must criticize the game. It's fun at first, as with basically any game; unfortunately, it becomes like an old arcade game...after a while, it's intolerable, and you have to wait for a long time (which I still haven't) to play it again. I know that Nintendo is capable of much better. If you're looking for a Mario game, Mario Party would be suggested instead of Mario Tennis. ...Though both can be boring without multiplayer. After this lengthy message, I just hope that you feel that you haven't wasted your money. Good luck.

This game is somewhat good, but it is too easy. When I first played it, it was fun, but in 3 days you could easily defeat all 3 cups. Multiplayer is pretty good overall. But these game is not worth buying. Rent it for a couple a days to entretain yourself a little. But don't buy it, because after a week you'll be bored of it. Graphics are OK, and the gameplay is really good. It definetly did not keep up with my expectations.
