DK64 has phenomininal graphics (now that I finally have an expansion pack). It's fun and challenging...probably the best purchase I've made this year!!! I love it!

I think DK 64 is the best N64 game I've ever played!! It has great levels, different characters, and super fun bosses!!! I think the most fun thing to do is to be Donkey Kong or Chunky, jump into their barrels, and whatch the kremlings scurry!! it is so funny... especially when you chase around a kasplat or those fat pink guys!! I think the most fun thing is when you get enough banana fairies to play all the bosses you've defeated!! I especially like the crystal caves boss (Army Dillo) and the Creepy Castle boss (Cardboard K.Rool)
I have a tip on how to defeat Cardboard K.Rool easily without losing any kongs!! To do this, you need to break off both his arms. That is pretty easy. When he starts to jump around saying "woohah" or something like that, It gets hard doesn't it? The trick is, wait until he shoots lasers the second time. Go to the cannon directly across from him and wait. He will eventually start jumping around. Listen for the second "woohah", then as fast as you can, dash for the cannon... and he should be right in front of you. It may take practice, but you'll get the hang of it.
There are only two things i don't like about this game... The stupid Frantic Factory boss, and the stupid beaver bother. The boss, the Jack in the Box creature is often called the Giant Junk in the Box. There is nothing fun about defeating him at all. I hate beaver bother so much because it is almost impossible to win. The one in Frantic factory is kinda easy, but when you reach Creepy Castle, it's pure torture!! The poor klaptrap has to push 15 or so dumb beavers in the hole, and I can barely get in any. I attempted to get all 201 golden banannas, and I got all of them except the beaver bothers in Creepy castle, The rabbit race in Fungi forest, and Lanky's sliding beetle race in Crystal caves, and Diddy's robot pirahna in Gloomy Galleon Other than that, This game is super fun and very enjoyable!!

Just to let you know, you can just get Conker: Live and Reloaded for the XBOX, and they say that it's exactly the same, only with multiplayer. That was the main con to it. But, if you're a newcomer to Conker (not including Diddy Kong Racing, which I reviewed on "My List") you'll have an excellent time!!!

If this game was more like the Donkey Kong Country series released on the SNES, then it would be a masterpiece. It's true that it has several of the DKC basics, including several monsters, massive bosses, the Kong Family-Donkey, Diddy, Candy, Funky, Cranky, and Wrinkly, as well as newly introduced members Chunky (Kiddy's brother), Tiny (Dixie's sister), and Lanky (DK's second cousin). However, the game is really more like Banjo-Kazooie, which is unquestionably Nintendo and Rare's trademark N64 series. Rather than having various levels in multiple worlds to trek through in a platform adventure, we get eight massive worlds for heavy exploration. It really just isn't quite the same. As true as it is that it is fun as hell to play, it doesn't get as high an overall rating because it strays so far from the classics. However, other than that, it is highly enjoyable.
