Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - an addictive fun game.
Well, I got this game roughly 5 years ago when I was 12 years old and I was addicted for a while. At the age of 15 I put it down never to be touched again. Or so I thought. I recently picked this game up again and have been as addicted as I was when I was 12! First off, it is rare to find a game just as fun at 12 as you do at 17. There is alot of games that indulge in blood lust and sex etc etc. I enjoy those games but this is something different dare I even say better.

You star off as a young guy that takes over his grandfathers farm. Your job is in two years to get everything back to normal and make a profit. Either way though, the game goes on forever. Through this game you interact with friends, women, workers etc. The town is pretty small and is easy to get used to. The graphics are nothing compared to what the ps2 and xbox 360 are whipping out but are good for their time. Each character in town has their own personality which keeps the game from getting boring and even though you pretty much form a daily routine (which varies depending on player) the game never seems to get old. There is alot you can build on in this game. I recommend it for all ages. 1-100. Great game. Yo ucan't go wrong with this.

So, throw on some Iron Maiden and get down to buisness. Enjoy.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THIS IS THE BEST GAME IN THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!2
Well, I'm back! My last review was more of a complimenting one, but this one tells you about the game. You have, breed(using the miracle potion, I think), and take care of cows, chickens, and sheep. You also get to have a horse and dog. If you leave your dog with this one other dog for a day, they can have puppies. You can have crops, of course, too, but I prefer animals. You can also make friends and get married. You can marry Anne, Ellie, Poupori, Maria, Karen, and, though most people don't know this, the Mayor. I don't think anyone will want to choose the Mayor, though. There also lots of festivals, like the Firefly Festival, Horse Race, Music Festival, and Cooking Festival. Some festivals have dancing. And, like I said in my other review, hearing about it you'll be like "A farming game? How stupid!" but let me assure you, you will be 100% pleased with this game.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Who knew farming could be this addicting?
Ever wanted to get away from those high-paced, action-filled, bloody games? Have you wanted to just create a duel life where you have a nice little family? Harvest Moon 64 does this by combining the elements of farming and dating, to bring you one of the most spectacular simulation video games ever.

Story 9/10: As the game starts out, you learn that your grandfather has passed away, and you have inherited his farm. Each day you go outside and tend to your farm. (Pulling weeds, planting stuff, etc.) Along the way you can participate in fun town activities/festivals, and if you get bored you can go to the bar, take a shower, or tend to your animals! You also have 5 girls to choose to date/marry (Ann, Elli, Karen, Maria, and Popuri.

Gameplay 10/10- Probably the best simulation/RPG on the N64. Anyone can love this game, even if they hate farming. The difficulty can also range, depending on whether or not you want to get EVERYTHING in the game. You could choose to work your tail off everyday, or just lay back and enjoy life.

Sound 8/10- The tunes are pretty good, and they each fit they're season/location. However, after a while the music can get a little repetitive.

Graphics 8/10- The Graphics aren't that great, but they are very good compared to the previous Harvest Moon games. The characters aren't too blocky and the scenery/landscape is pretty good as well. This is the first 3D game in the series.

Replay 10/10- You won't want to put this game down for a LONG time. Even after you beat the game, you will probably feel the urge to keep playing (even though it goes on forever). Or you could decide to create a new file and try new things (Marry a different girl, make more friends, get a better score, etc.).

Overall 9.5/10- There is always some sort of repetitiveness in a simulation game, but Harvest Moon 64 turns that negative aspect into a positive one. This game is the best Simulation game I have ever played, and I would pay $70 for it if I had to. Harvest Moon 64 is possibly the greatest life-simulating series out there.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Ah, another great Harvest Moon game. =D
Yes, another great Harvest Moon game to play. Really fun, lasts for a LONG time.

The story is your a boy, and you get a farm in your Grandfather's will. You also get a dog, and a field filled with logs, rocks, and grass. Time to get to work! You can grow crops, improve your house, get a wife, enter in contests, and loads more! This game actually has more than A Wonderful Life, yet they are both great. This game is alot like the GBA one, yet I haven't played much of it to REALLY know. I'm not to far on it yet, so I can't tell much of the story.

Graphics: 9/10
Really good, N64 at it's best. Just a few flaws.

Sound: 10/10
YES! The music finally changes depending on what part of town your in! Much better than A Wonderful Life.

Replay Value: 9/10
This game goes on forever, or at least really long. I would give it a 10, but you can get bored at times.

Gameplay: 10/10
Flawless gameplay is in this game, even if you are bored you can still do things.

Overall: 9/10
This was a great game, not as addicting as HM: AWL, but still as fun.

Rent, Buy, or Pass? Buy!
Fun, and there's a great deal to do.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - addictive
I first got introduced to this game by my room-mate I thought it was going to be really stupid because well, it looked stupid and boring, but soon realized it wasn't. It's VERY addictive! If you have time to kill this is a game that will do it for you!
