Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A gaming classic that's still lots of fun
Diablo is now looked on as the classic RPG that brought great storyline and replayability to the world. It's still as fun as it was when it came out.

It's hard to remember now, with so many dark games out, but Diablo was really one of the first that had truly evil forces to contend with.

The graphics might be a little blocky compared to current day games, but it's still amazingly fun to play. The levels that are different each time you play, the various character classes, the assortment of armor and weapons you pick up, all add up to great fun both the first time and tenth time you go through.

Plus with on line play, you can build up a character and head through quests with your friends from around your neighborhood or around the world.

If you're a fan of Diablo 2, Dungeon Siege or other hack-and-slash RPGs, you really might want to pick up Diablo and see where they all came from. You should be able to find used copies of the game pretty easily, and even buying it new is at a discount price!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - COOL GAME!
I think this game is cool. I first got into this game because i was so into starcraft, so then i just decided to try another game made from Blizzard, which turned out to be this one, and i think it is JUST GREAT! although I only have the shareware version of Diablo, I consider getting the full retail version because even the demo kicks. This game is so addictive!! I love collecting armor, new weapons, destructive magical items, killing the evil fallens, skeletons, etc. I guarantee you all to buy this game immediately, or at least DOWNLOAD IT!!! FYI My character is a warrior that is at level 12 ;)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of the best I've seen of a new game series.
The interactions between your character (you can chose between three types) and the enemies/allies is very funny and entertaining at times. I got a bit bored with having to go back and forth between levels at times -- the goat guy and his special item isn't really worth going back for. Clearly the ending of the game is set up for continuation of the basic world/plot. I was anxiously awaiting the next edition after I won this game a few times. With it had a balance of male to female characters though.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Classic RPG!
Diablo is the first computer-based RPG that I played and by far defined what I expect in such a game. The gothic fantasy is dark and makes you feel as though you are truely fighting evil. I remember that I became very attached to my character and always wanted to develop it further. The story is decent, but what makes it is battle.net (which was introduced with this game). I spent many hours of my ninth grade year (four years ago) playing this game at night online with my friend. We would adventure for hours just killing all the evil foes in our way. It can seem repetitive and very much hack-and-slash, but still, it is very, very addictive. Especially since this game is now so [inexpensive], I would suggest it as a good buy for someone with many hours to spend developing a character.
