Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great fun
I have never liked fishing, much prefer sitting on a boat and drinking a beer. Don't like to eat them, so why waste a few hours trying to catch them. Bought this game for my 4-year old and we both are addicted. It is great fun catching the fish and picking the lures to use. I recommend it for anyone who just wants to waste some time and have fun...it is not brain surgery, so if you want a challenge look elsewhere.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Suprisingly fun game!
I have to admit, this was my first fishing video game that I ever purchased and when I finally got around to playing it, I was suprised at how enjoyable SEGA BASS FISHING was! The game play is indeed addictive and this was also a suprise. I never thought a fishing game could be so much fun!

As for the game, it is about catching bass. That is pretty much the gist of it.You choose the lures and reel away! There is a practice mode, arcade mode, and a tournament mode which is really fun and competitive for a fishing game. The only thing I wanted was different species of freshwater fish in addition to all the bass. But bass fishing it is. SEGA MARINE FISHING is a great companion to this for those who like saltwater fishing.

SEGA BASS FISHING is a great game... I recommend this game!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A great realistic fishing game
If you like bass fishing enough to buy a game where all you do is fish for bass, then this is your game. The fish are realistic looking and the weight and size of the bass you catch are realistic. Some of the other fishing games I've played only let you catch 14 pounders over and over until its lame. But in this game you can catch fish of all different sizes. This game is so realistic that you have to know a lot about bass fishing to win the tournaments. The fish move to different locations and hit different lures in depending on the weather conditions, time of day, and time of year. As the tournaments go on, they get harder and much more challenging so you feel great when you finally catch the big 20 pounder. And about not being able to move around the lake and only staying on the shore? If you know anything about bass fishing you'd know that the best bass fishing is on the shore and in weed beds so you only need to stay along the shore. This game is also very realistic because you can easily lose the big one if you play the fish wrong. You have to pay attention to the tension on the line or else the fish will break off. Overall a great exciting game that kept me and my best bud up all night playing it. We are avid bass fishermen and go everyweekend so I'd say were pretty experienced with fishing for bass. We couldn't get enough of this game and sometimes will talk about even when we're actually fishing for bass at a lake! A great recomended buy.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - segabassfishing
this game is o.k., the only problem is the only species of fish advalible to catch are bass, the fish are way easy to reel in and when the computer takes over from you to land the fish the rod looks very unrelistic. the good points are that the match fishing is very competitive, the bigger bass put up better fights and in practice mode big bags are easy to obtain. for the first 20 or so minutes the game plays really well and then the bigger bass seem to disapper and your left with pounders.when you progress higher up the match fishing scale whoah are some of the lures good, the popper, straight worm and [when fished near weeds or rocks]the rubber jig. overall i would say unless you adore bass lure fishing or a person who coarse fishes save your money for the marine version.

WHATS THE BIGGEST BASS YOU HAVE EVER CAUGHT ON THE GAME? MINES A 21LB 4OZ ON A PENCIL BAIT FISHED ON THE LODGE.
