Soul Calibur is one of the funnest video games I've played. In a way, it is a lot like the series of Tekken games (Tekken, Tekken 2, Tekken 3, and Tekken Tag Tournament...Even the characters are very similar. One of the differences between the two games is that in all the Tekken games you use your hands, fist, feet, and your head, to fight...But in Soul Calibur, all the characters have either swords or knives, and one of the characters whoes name is Kilik, has a wooden stick or something similar to one that he uses to fight with. So if you have either a Sega Dreamcast, which has Soul Calibur, or a Playstation 2, which has Soul Calibur 2, I recomend getting one of these two games.

Soul Calibur is one of the funnest games I've ever played. The graphics are outstanding! The characters are all very cool and fun to be and are all very different from eachother unlike some older and more similar games like the Tekken series, the Mortal Kombat series, and Virtua Fighter. But all games have positives and negatives. Once when I was playing Soul Calibur at my cousins's house I was knocked down by Yoshimitsu (who was being controlled by another one of my cousins) and before I could get back up again the he just kept on hitting me and hitting me until I was K.O. (knocked out). Another down fall is that sometimes when I get a secret character I save and than I play a little more and than I turn off my Dreamcast, and when I turn it back on again the character isn't there! So even though this game has maybe a few problems with it, it is still a very fun game to play! I recomend getting it if you have a Dreamcast. They don't sell Dreamcast games at many places anymore, so as you may be thinking, they are pretty hard to find, but I'm pretty sure [a store] has them, but I just recomend buying them on the internet becuase they are usually a lot cheaper (even though you have to pay shipping and handling and you have to wait a while till it comes).

I'm a guy who doesn't like fighting games a whole lot and wouldn't consider one of them to be amongst his favorites. But Soul Calibur changed all that which will have you playing like a ...addict trying to unlock everything in the game.
It has a great long intro but my main man Voldo barely gets any acknowledgement but thats all right because if you play your cards right you can eventually edit the intro to what you see fit.
These are some of the best graphics I've seen on the dreamcast... hell any system. The backgrounds help the characters stand out nicely and each character has three different costumes. Great graphics, period.
It has orchestra music which is not my taste but it sounds all right. The voices of the characters are good but some of the chicks voices can get to be very annoying, like Ivy's laugh especially. But I think they captured the clang of weapons from every direction because those sound effects are great.
The control is very easy to pick up, the combo's can be learned in a few seconds and even have demos in practice mode. But the only problem is you can easily find one move in every fighters arsenal that will put an end to your opponent quickly by cheaping them out.
This game lasts a long time and will keep you looking for more things to accomplish: artwork, characters, stages. Many battle modes: Team, Survival, Arcade. This is one of the best games in terms of replay value and is probably the best game on the dreamcast. (*****)

One of the first games ever released for the Dreamcast, and one of the best, Soul Calibur is amazing from start to finish. The graphics, control, special features, and fighting engine are superb, and this is the one game that if you own a Dreamcast you must have this as well. However, good luck finding it, when the Dreamcast came out, it sold pretty quickly, and Namco only released the game in limited quanitites, but this is one hell of a game, and its a better investment to buy a Dreamcast and this game rather than lay down 50 bucks for a single game on any of the other systems.

Instead of telling how good this games is and all the great fitures it has OH!! and of course the graghics cause there really nothing to say, I mean the games pretty much speek for it self. If you own a dreamcast the hek this game alone is worth buying the Dreamcast for. I insult you if you are a dreamcast owner and don't have this game. No second thought about it just get it, capish.(If you can)
