Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Power Stone puts the ool in cool
I think this game rules.First,I thought it was a dumb game untill I played it on the day of my birthday.Me and my friend were amazed.I has awsome graphics, you throw stuff and transform.Thats what I call cooooooool.I hope my review will inspire you to get this game.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Visually Stunning - Great Features
I really thought the design team for Powerstone did a great job. Good multiplayer interface. The detail and variety of characters is wonderful. But what rally makes this game are the objects that can be used as weapons. Things like swords, pipes, boxes, barrels, bombs, molitoff coctails, machine guns, etc. all add to the gameplay and replay value. The features for the VMU are really fun and can add features to the game itself. The only drawback I really noticed was that the AI should be more agressive and less predictable (even on hard settings). Overall, this game provides many hours of fun and will make a valuable addition to any Dreamcast collection.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - funnest fighting game on market
Plain and simple power stone is the funnest fighting game on the market. this game isn't too realistic, but that is what makes it so great. with tons o weapons (revolver, bazooka, flame thrower, pipe, sword, bomb, pots, benches, light posts, chairs, tables, boxes, barrels, etc.) this game doesn't get boring. high replay. play with a friend. control is perfect. moves are easy to pull off. it's like tekken 3 meets super smash brothers. not for a gamer lookin to relax. highly recommended. a must-own.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Power Stone
Power Stone is one of the coolest games. I first saw it on the Dreamcast demo. I would have never heard of it if I didn't see it there. It will make you want to keep playing it because every time you beat it you get someting else like weapons or mini VMU games. I highly recommend this game to all Dreamcast owners.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Interesting game, too hard to play though
I bought the game on the strength of the reviews which called it's gameplay revolutionary and the fighting well done.

When I actually played the game I found it very confusing and the special attacks (without the powerups) difficult to master.

At first I thought it was just me and the game was just not my genre but then my brother and my cousin (who loved the game in the arcade) played it. They liked the game, against each other, and enjoyed the two player mode (although a less experienced player has NO CHANCE against someone who has played the game before, not even close) Is very hard to just get lucky in this game.

However once they tried to play the computer it was immediately apparent that even with knowing the super moves and having other people in the room trying to help you to find all of the gems the computer was much more advanced than the player. This was on the default setting. Since the characters are sort of uneven in power levels to begin with there were some computer controlled characters that just could not be beaten which does not make the game fun to play.

Since you cannot block in the game it just became a running battle all over the screen with the computer with an obvious advantage for the majority of the fight.

Would only recommend this game for someone who had already mastered it in the arcade as the home experience is very frustrating. But then if you already played this game out in the arcade you have no reason to buy the home version as the home game offers nothing new beyond a practice mode.

Did not like this game and will trade it in at a game shop at my first opportunity.

This is the first game I bought for my dreamcast that I did not like.
