MOST PEOPLE WILL THINK THIS IS NOT HELPFUL BUT I DO NOT OWN THIS BUT MY FREIND HAS A GAME BOY COLOR IN TEAL,A GAME BOY ADVANCE SP AND A GAME BOY ADVANCE HIS BROTHER HAS A GAME BOY COLOR AND A GAME BOY ADVANCE SP AND HIS SISTER HAS A GAME BOY ADVANCE SP AND HIS FAMILY OWNS A PC-MAC, A GAME CUBE AND A NINTENDO 64 MY FRIND WANTS TO GIVE ME HIS GAME BOY ADVANCE AND GAME BOY COLOR BECUASE HE DOESENT NEED THEM BUT HIS MOM SAYS HE CANT AND I HAVE A GBA SP

I have had this system for at least 5 years and is is still running like NEW! I have dropped is tons of tines on the floor(not to mention the pavement)And not even a rattle from inside.I suggest several games (some of my favorites)Daffy Duck Fowl Play,Super Marieo Bros. Deluxe,And Dogz Virutal pets.Buy This system It is great and a Great price if I Had the money I would buy another one myself.

Well, I bought my GameBoy System a few months before the GameBoy Advance was released :( (bummer, i should have waited)
The GameBoy Color system is great for long road trips or just plain at-home fun. Here are my Pros and Cons about it:
Pros: Portable, and has a wide variety of games, inlcuding previous GameBoy (original) games. It features ok sound and SNES-like graphics. Gameplay is in color unlike the original [GameBoy]. Battery life is about 10 hours.
Cons: Screen is hard to see without a light directly behind you while playing (u should get a wormlight). Interface (GameBoy Logo) is quite annoying after a while.
Overall, if you're interested in hand-held portable fun, then you should buy it. I have a TEAL-colored GBC (GameBoy Color).

I got this system last year and it worked fine until a month ago. then the sound blew out. Also the graphics on many games suck. Still it's a hardy system and I would recommend buying it if you like a classic look in color, but if you want something with good graphics, nice small comfortable size, and a motherload of great games, buy an NGCP(neogeo pocket color).

Gameboy Color is minor improvement from it's 1996 cousion the gameboy pocket. The system may be in color but as the other reviewers said the colors are some what faded and are pale-like.
The batteries last longer than the Gameboy pocket's which is a good thing they last about 10 hours. There are exclsive games for that cannot be played on the black and white gameboys so there's another plus.
The screen isn't as dark as people seem to say I myself don't have any problem seeing it but thats probley because I'm only 12 also the gameboy advance (original) is wayyy darker than this.
Sorry if this review wasn't that helpful but in the end I'd get ether a gameboy pocket or a Gameboy advance Sp.
