Ok. I got a free Nintendo 64 from my cousins when I was about 8. I also got roughly 9 games. One of these games happened to be Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I honestly didn't think anything of it at the time. However, curiousity got to me, and I had to play: I would be hooked. You wouldn't imagine how many memories I have with this game. In third grade, this was the only thing me and my friends ever talked about. The temples and dungeons are very complex, as is the atmosphere of the game. I mean, some parts of the game can actually frighten you. The music. My God, they made such beautiful and deep music for a video game. I am listening to the soundtrack of the game as I type here. Any video game fan should buy this game.

It could be. The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time, could be the single greatest video game creation for any console and any genre. It is that good. It was a huge step to make it the first 3D zelda game, but it was that step that makes it the greatest. This game is tons of fun, with loads of different puzzles, dungeons, and enemies in it. You go from being a weak little boy, and transform throughout the game into a grown up, powerful, and skilled fighter. The standouts in this game are first of all, the fighting. The fighting set up is extraordinary. For example, the 3D allows you to target one enemy, take a stab at him, strafe right, and switch to target a different enemy who may be coming up from behind. And, this works for any weapon, you can target an enemy in the air, and shoot him down with the bow and arrow instead of having to manually shoot at a moving target, which is difficult and tedious. Another thing that really adds to the game is the music. The music is absolutely flawless in this game. Every piece of music in this game adds to wherever you may be. All 5 temples you go through as an adult are great examples of this. The game is challenging, it makes you think, and the entire game as a whole flows very nicely. The cut scenes are great, and the game is full of surprises. By far the most superior game for the N64, and it very well could be the greatest game of all time, but I'm not deciding.

This is one of the best games I have ever played. Even shooting the arrows is fun, you can actually use your shield to block getting hit. Just incredible. The only bad thing I can possibly say is you almost have to buy the strategy guide or else you will likely get stuck on some levels. There are a few dungeons that I could not find my way out of without buying the guide. But overall great game!!

This has got to be the best game ever... I have seriously played a lot. Halo 2, Halo, Sims2, F.E.A.R., Half-life 2, everything. I own a DS, PSP, Playstation, Playstation2, Xbox360, Gamecube, DreamCast, and an N64. Out of all of those I haven't yet seen a game that feels as real as the legend of Zelda. This game is just so mystic and pretty it actually breathes life into it's own world making this adventure come true. The graphics are pretty good although I;m basing them on other N64 games not XBOX360 or Gamecube (that wouldn't be fair). There's nothing better than the classics and nothing is the same as the origanal. No matter how many more Zelda games they make they just never seem to be as good as this one or Majoras Mask... even Twilight Princess. The ocarina is really the best thing, you can play music acuratly it has all the notes tuned accuratly almost to real life. I play an ocarina ok. Soproano tuned in C (twelve holed).
This is great get it got it good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What video game is more revolutionizing and more celebrated than the 3D-conversion of the epic-ness that is the Legend of Zelda?
Sculpted with near-unsurpassed care to gameplay and detail, Ocarina of Time stands as a titan in the timeline of video games, boasting a timelessly-appealing adventure that sees Link, the young hero, venture across a virtual land and through time in a classic struggle of good versus evil. Including all aspects of LOZ gameplay in a mystically-woven 3D package, Ocarina of Time truly stands the test of time in tribute to 20 years of the Zelda franchise 30 years of video-gaming.
In a fully consistent and engaging Hyrule, Link embarks on a quest of epic proportions to cease the evil influence of Gerudo king Gannondorf, and travels from an enchanted forest to the top of Death Mountain, to the bottom of a deep lake, and to the very innards of a treacherous dessert to secure the power to bring down the tyrant. Employing intelligence and musical comprehension in addition to fighting abilities, Link ages throughout his quest to achieve the title of Hero of Time, whilst facing odds of unspeakable and terrifying proportions.
Displaying techincal genius, the game shows off a remarkable control system of item-themed base, employing its strength in an unrestrained world of storyline and action. With graphics complimentary to their time, and a scheme of gameplay that defies the ages, Ocarina of Time is nothing if not inviting, with an appeal to fans of the series, the legendary, and the genre.
This game is, undisputedly, a neccessity for owners of the Nintendo 64; it is, quite simply, one of the best games ever produced, withstanding more modern developments of better graphics and audio with an unbeatable gameplay system and a storyline that appeals to just about every player ever to pick up a controller. It is, for the lack of a better term, the complete package of the video gaming industry, and cannot be considered to be surpassed or made obsolete by conventional means; even with newer Zelda titles available, Ocarina of Time is not only their foundation and inspiration, but the very infectious spirit that drives them. It is exceedingly difficult to imagine the presence of many current games, had there not been Ocarina of Time.
Bottom line: the best video game, ever; get it.
