Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A must own strategy guide even if you think you don't need it.
Generally, when it comes to strategy guides I don't really use them because part of what makes a game fun is the gamers beating it by themselves. Then again I've never played a game as epic as Oblivion and I got lost in the game. So I decided to pick up this official strategy guide and I was blown away by how complete and detailed the guide covered its information. It has full maps of every town and dungeons with treasures all listed. It has all the handy tables and charts like weapons, armors, spells, ingredients, and the lowdown on every creature in the game and more. It also has a section on creating a character that best fits your style of play as well as info on the game's mechanics. It also has all the quests covered and you'll be amaze at how easy it is to follow all the tips and notes the author has written. THere's just WAY too much to list here. You will have to get it. It's the one complete guide and only guide you will ever need. The guide is 496 pages long in full color and covers all expansions and downloadable content.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Extreme Detail...
If you do not like detail, don't buy this book. If you are looking for help with your game, this is a must purchase. It is very detailed and when followed, you can't go wrong!

Happy Holidays,
Smacka

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Don't enter Cyrodil without it!
Just to start out, let me say that there are over 200 hours of game play on Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion / Game of the Year edition. There is litterally an entire world in that game, that will keep you busy for months on end.

This book is a must for anyone looking to have any hope of passing it. There is so much to do, so much to learn, and so much to accomplish in this game, it's almost too easy to overlook the little things. This book helps you find those things you may want to find.

In addition, it shows you many detailed diagrams of maps, spells, plants (for alchemic purposes), weapons, armor, cities, etc.

The only problem I have had is there is no index, and the book is HUGE. There is a table of contents, but you will still likely find yourself paging thru many times trying to find the exact mission or location you are currently working on.

All in all, definately worth the money. It makes the game that much more satisfying.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Dissapointing
Although the book is very helpfull it was really confusing and dissapointing that it refers to a chapter on the main world maps and it dosn't exist in the book. This was one of the main reasons we bought the book, also there is not an index so looking something up is a quest all its own.........

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Oblivion Game Guide
The Guide has a few glaring omissions, but the the book is beautifully printed and illustrated. The price was much less than I expected to pay for a book of this quality here in Canada. Shipping costs were reasonable and Amazon kept me fully informed as to the progress of my order. It arrived before the expected date.
