Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very informative and worth the money!
The Sims 2: Open for Business is a more complex expansion pack than any of the previous ones, so this guide would definitely be something to consider even if you didn't purches ones for University or Night Life.

This guide includes...

Chapter 1 - What's New in The Sims 2 Open for Business
Chapter 2 - Shopping Districts
Chapter 3 - Talent Badges
Chapter 4 - Owning and Running a Business
Chapter 5 - Anatomy of a Customer
Chapter 6 - Business Rank and Perks
Chapter 7 - Workforce Relations
Chapter 8 - Business Types: Retail & Services
Chapter 9 - Business Types: Restuarant
Chapter 10 - Business Types: Venues
Chapter 11 - New Objects
Chapter 12 - New Socials
Chapter 13 - Kid Stuff
Chapter 14 - Build Mode Additions
Chapter 15 - Tour of Bluewater Village
Chapter 16 - Cheats
***Review from older expansion packs and The Sims 2
Chapter 17 - Jobs by Career Level
Chapter 18 - Objects
Chapter 19 - Socails

This guide is definitely not mandatory as most aspects of the new expansion pack can be figured out through trial and error. However, if you want to save yourself some frustration, I would suggest spending the $12. This guide does reveal some very important aspects about businesses and customers that it is helpful to know before starting a business.

All in all, this is a very informative guide, and I give it 5 stars for quality and quanity! Although, this is not a must.

Recommended to those who want an early edge.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - If you waited for this, then you don't need it.
The guide has some good things in it, but if you have the exp. pack and had to wait for this guide then you probably know more about the game than the book tells. It's an ok guide, but I was left feeling as if I should have waited to buy it from a third party for about $2.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Prima Guide for open for Business
I preordered the sims 2 game and the book at the same time I got them a day before they said it would be shipped the book is very good at explaining the business side I would recommend this to everyone to learn to pay this game better. It explained Badges employees get which make they better employers. Gave you the new building options like spilt levels, tells you all the new objects can't wait to build Servo (I missed him in from the old sims). Funny servo can woo hoo with other servo or with sims HAHA. So if you get the chance pick up the book it will make you a better employer.

Also I think Amazon is great I ordered every sims 2 game on here and always got it on time :)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - NOT AMAZON
The only problem is that they have the wrong delivery date. I was just in my local mall looking for the guide. They stated that the book has not been released and it should be out in a couple weeks. So the only thing amazon did wrong is that they posted the wrong date.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Didn't Receive It Either!
I pre-ordered this book on Feb. 23. Every time I checked my order status, it still read "pre-order ... delivery date of March 3 or 4, 2006". Even on March 3, it still said that, and my credit card still hadn't even been charged for it.

I canceled the order - Amazon had the cheapest price, but it's not worth the savings if you don't actually get it! You'd be better off just walking into your local store and buying it there.

The book itself is probably an excellent guide, as all the Prima Guides are - but Amazon's handling of this is terrible.

If an item still isn't available by the promised delivery date, they should at least say so!
