- The best surprise is the Art Book!I don't buy 'Strategy Guides' or as I call them- cheat books. But I was really looking forward to 'swag'ing up anything I could get for Gears. The Guide packaging caught my eye and I'd heard good things from the web. Well, let me tell EVERYONE- this is a GREAT- GREAT addition to the Gears of War collection! The inside of the packaging is all glossy photos with each book locked in place. Yes- EACH BOOK. On the right is a glossy- illustrated in amazing detail - walkthrough of the game. Inside are amazing stats on weapons and characters as well as the games many secrets (most of which I skipped over as not to ruin my experience) but the best surprise was the book on the left!
On the other side of the collection is a BRILLIANT and HUGE art book! I think it's around 70 pages (I'm sure it's listed somewhere), and each page is a hi gloss amazing image from the game! The concept paintings- the character meshes- the vehicles... even the renders of the game!! I had no idea this was in the package, but now that I know-- the art book alone is worth the money.
All in all- this is a MUST BUY for any Gears of War fan- whether they use Guides or Not.
