Customer Reviews
Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - low Resolution.
the resolution on the game is poor. its only 720
EA Sports should use higher resolution. at least 1080 to deliver higher quality games.
the idea of the game is good, but the low resolution makes the game boring.
we probably need to wait another year.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - To many issues
My husband normally loves fifa but this year there were too many glitches. at first i thought it was a problem with the one game so i ordered another and no it was just a glitch with the game... if you buy certain players the game gets stuck and wont load. This is happened with more then one team in which case you cant carry on and have to restart the whole thing. The whole point of the game is that you play with the players you want the team you want and the way you want. The glitch stops you doing this.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - FIFA 09 disappointment
The game does not work properly. Whey I try to play with multiple users, it just freezes and doest not perform anything else. I can only play as an one user player. I tried to return the game, but it cost me more to send it back than to purchase a new one, since I live in Guatemala and I brought the game through a PO box in Miami. Can you anyway help me?

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Non-Soccer Fan review
I'm not really much of a soccer fan, though I will watch during the World Cup or European Championship tournaments and an occassional MLS game. I picked up this game on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. Let's just say that since I've started playing, I haven't put Madden 09 back in my 360.

The controls are pretty straightforward and easy to learn. Soccer strategy was a complete mystery to me before I started playing, but after a few games I was competitive and now can consistently score a few goals a game on the hardest difficulty.

The graphics are pretty good, considering the massive environment that is a soccer field. Close-up reaction shots and celebrations are pretty realistic.

The game certainly has no shortage of teams, that's for sure. There are well over a hundred different teams from dozens of leagues from around the world with complete, accurate rosters.

I wish that there were more stadiums, however. You find yourself playing the same generic few again and again, though they do try to change it up by having different weather conditions and times of day available. I realize that they couldn't have had all of the hundreds of distinct stadiums, but a few more would have been nice.

I can't compare it to any other soccer games, since I've never played any, but if you're looking for an enjoyable, detailed, fun game, FIFA 2009 is a good choice.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Its good.
Pros- Better graphics and controls then 08. Lots of fun..

Cons- For some reason or another it did not import anything from 08 and set me up as a beginner. Suppose I could have changed it, but I figured it knew best (perhaps I suck at the game.. i dunno). Anyway my big beef (and its a small one) is that the AI seems to suck. I started a be a pro and within the first season I had scored almost 200 goals. Every game that I played was a blow out. I would assume that the game would be able to adapt and learn to play against someone who is consistently scoring 5+ goals a game. It doesn't. Also when I simmed a game it obviously does not take into consideration past games as I was averaging a rating of >9 and in a sim my rating went to a 3.4 and our team would get blown out. How can a guy a team that is shutting out every team they play all of a sudden lose 0-2? With the leagues best player not getting a single goal?

All in all this is a fun game, and I would recommend buying it.. I just think the AI kinda blows.
