This is probably the best Bleach game on the PSP. It features an expansive set of characters that appear mainly in the Hueco Mundo arc so you can use such characters as Pantera Grimmjow, Ulquiorra, Aaroniero Arrururie, Yammy, Szayel Apporo Granz, Gantenbaine, Cirucci Thunderwitch, Neliel, Dordinii, Nnoitra, Gin, Tousen, and Aizen.
You also still have your main characters like Ichigo (with mask), Rukia, Yasutora (with both new arms), Orihime, Renji, Uryuu (with Seele Schneider), etc. There are a total of 32 regular characters and 16 special characters to be used in Single Battle only.
There is a 2nd list of 16 characters as stated above which feature many of the captains from the Gotei 13 and Vaizard that can be unlocked via a save file from Heat the Soul 4 or by completing Tag Master Mode. They can be used only in Single Battle mode though.
What's this? Tag? That's right! Bleach Heat the Soul 5 features Tag Modes. So you have 2v2 battles. Sadly, if one teammate gets KO'd your team loses but hey, tag battles are still sweet. You can even combine Rieatsu Ougis together and some character pairings even have a special Reiatsu Ougi which do even more damage. You also can release your zanpakutou in the middle of battle! You can also set your team as a tag type between, offensive, defensive, and technical which boost your stats in various areas.
Story mode covers the entire Vaizard and Hueco Mundo arcs up until the Ichigo's fight with Pantera Grimmjow however there are two Tutorials that cover the Soul Society Arc and Arrancar Arc.
Overall, this is an AMAZING Bleach Game! Oh yeah, Rangiku is HOT in her Chinese dress
